sure thing kokopelli.... FX Primus....so far no problems with them except this 100 pips requirement on their limit orders in ECN...
Ignored
I concur with Ljin - Either resolve that with them or move to someone else. You can't trade with that kind of restriction.

I hope your analysis is correct because i am in a long carried over the weekend, looking much better ATM, we'll play it out. Damn, i hate these carryovers but i hate to take a loss even worse. We'll hang in there.
Oop's just hit TP on eur/cad as i was typing, +20.

same here. but to be honest, i kinda regret to enter at an aggressive point(1.3194). h4 shows that it still resist at ema 200. should have wait the price goes past that line. what did you think?

hi ljin,

again, i have no problem with the pips nor with pipettes, much more with spread...in fact no problem with the broker, except that, they require a distance of 100 pips on limit orders which is not reasonable, hence, i am trying to get the wisdom behind that requirement from seasoned traders and traders who have experienced the same and knows the reason why....

hope this clear things up...
Ignored
It's the first time I hear about a minimum of 100 pips. That's absurd if it's true, I would check with my broker or get rid of them asap.

awin - you are mis-reading the order window. put in a limit order, and you will see that '100 pips' equates to 10.0 pips...

(look at your eurusd order window - that's showing at least 20 pips for a limit order, right? - meaning at least 2.0 pips).

try a test - if you set your limit order about 40.0 pips from current market price, you will have time to delete the test order before market price gets too close...

sorry for that my friend. but it is quite crazy to have 100 pips. and you should ask your broker , and not us. probably better if you contact support of that broker instead of posting here in strategy thread.

actually ljin, if you have read my posts, i was actually asking for some thoughts on this from seasoned traders and traders who have experienced the same, not mere guesses from you or from others who have no such experiences like such, as a matter of fact....

and please, you are not in a position to say what to post or not to post, because you yourself can post anything you like and nobody stopping you...

if you do not like or don't know the answer to my query, it's better for you not to reply...

my question is all related to trading and i'm part of this wonderful thread started by X-Man and supported by seasoned and well experienced traders...

so please, my question is not directed to you so please don't tell me not to post here....

clear?...i hope so!

peace out!

and i wont say anything or reply regarding this anymore. its up to you if you want to post. and again i am sorry if i had offended you. i just want this thread to not stray from original topic

ljin, not because you find some topic irrelevant means that you will not learn from it...

who knows someday you will encounter the same problem, at least now you know that some brokers do that...

this thread had become a full grown community, and in a community every concern counts...if you ever want to belong to a community, try not to dismiss any "out-of-topic" concerns of any member of the community as irrelevant and out-of-topic...

i'm responding not for you, but to preserve the kind of openness and camaraderie imbibed by X-Man, that great conqueror who started this thread....

IMO, X-Man is the only who has the right to say, "hey man, your topic is out-of-whack, stop posting and stop asking!"

i hope ljin this is clear to you...

I might just switch from the 15min chart to the 4hr chart and hang on to this and ride it, turning it from a profitable intraday trade into a profitable swing trade if PA continues to go my way.

Hi,

I really like what you say you would do.... converting an intraday trade to a swing trade. Something I do all the time.

Once you are in the market, you follow the price movement and get into the rythm of things. You know the trader in you and know how to manage the trader in you. You sure know how to trade and make money in this market.

It was a wrong trade. i take it that you didnt look at a higher TF to see the overall picture.
If you go to the daily or 4H TF and draw a trendline you will see that PA is just bouncing off that line.
If you draw a fibb on the daily you will see that PA is at the 61.8% retracement level.
All these are pointing long. You will also see the bullish divergance if you zoom out.

x-man. i also see those divergence . and on my h4 i saw it just bounce from fib 61.8 . but the trend was downward on daily. so my analysis says that, the price will go long just for a retracement probably until it reach 38 fib. then continue its downtrend .
how do you think about it? is it good analysis or ?
