Hi 'FordYNM'.
Yeh you're right: I should also 'take it down a notch' ('IcyTrading' I can say nothing about because I don't know the member but evidently he's a 'happy camper').
As I noted: the only reason I ended up here was because the keyword 'deltastock' 'appeared on my 'radar' (Google Alerts). And, well, one thing led to another.
The above being said: I at very least hope I've given some useful (as opposed to USELESS) information with regard to the difference between 'registration' and 'regulation' (for now let's forget about the two brokers in question i.e. it applies generally really).
And HOW, if I MAY ask, am I supposed to read Bulgarian (the article that you posted)??? LOL!!! I'm in South Africa remember (and I hate to say this but Google Translate doesn't do a very good job although it COULD be just me). LOL!!! Come to think of it: I've always wondered how they WRITE in Bulgarian!!! It must take FOREVER to write an email!!! LOL!!!
Anyway and as I noted: no offence was meant to anyone (especially you). I've been 'fiercely protective' of Deltastock since my being a trader with them let alone anything else. Maybe it's because when I started trading I just HAPPENED to open live accounts with two of the WORST 'lowlife bottom feeder bucketshop brokers' (one of which has been PROVED to be a 'scam artist' but, of course, it took me a while and a LOT of BIG losses to find out that basically 'every trick in the book' was being 'pulled on me'). People say to NOT 'blame your broker'. That's true TO A POINT. But when your broker is 'giving you a helping hand' to lose well, then, 'the game changes' really and I just don't (didn't) want Deltastock (or DF Markets for that matter) to be 'tarred with the same brush'.
I knew about the formation of DF Markets before this thread was started and the reasons why. Personally: I would have done it differently. But that was most certainly not my 'call' and I'm certainly in no position to advise Mr. Nedkov as to how to run his business(es). All I know is that (as noted previously) they (Deltastock) have been good to me over the years and I've never had one single complaint from a client that I've 'introduced' (or 'solicited') and that tells me a lot. I'll tell you this much: had I become an IB or 'whatever' for either of my first two brokers then by now I would have had my 'head blown off' by some disgruntled client who HAS been 'messed with'. And, well, obviously, as can been seen, I'm still around!!! LOL!!!
As far as DF Markets' minimum distance of placing stop or entry orders 4 pips away from the current market price??? To the 'naysayers': part of my 'job' is to see what other brokers are doing. I found one just last week. The minimum distance from the current market price, to place orders, on EUR/USD, is 20 PIPS!!! Now THAT is 'possible bad execution''!!! LOL!!! Put another way: I wouldn't even be able to trade my trading systems at a broker like that!!! Alright: I'm by no means a 'MetaTrader fan' i.e. Delta Trading (Deltastock's proprietary trading platform) is what I trade with and with Delta Trading there is NO minimum distance at all (other than if you're trying to place an order WITHIN the spread of course). And the GOOD news is that DF Markets is soon to make available 'DF Trader' (which really is 'Delta Trading' without CFDs which is what I trade almost exclusively).
So yes: I'll 'take it down a notch'. My apologies for being so 'in your face' about this. All I'm saying REALLY is that to give DF Markets a 'chance' is all. As I've noted: DF Markets has nothing at all to do with me (well OTHER than the fact that ACTUALLY they COULD be 'costing' me UK clients). But clients in the UK are not my 'target market' so really 'no damage done' (I HOPE anyway).
So 'that is it' from me (unless you have further comments or questions which of course I'll respond to and if I don't have 'all the answers' I'll do my best to obtain them for you).
And by the way: did you happen to use Google last night to find out what was on TV??? LOL!!!
Seriously: if there is anything I can be of assistance with then please don't hesitate to ask. If nothing else you have my word that I'll do the best that I can to address any issues.
Keep in touch ANYWAY regardless.
Regards,
Dale Paterson.
