If you enjoy trading the 1min chart you'll like this one.

Enter long at open 2nd candle after a close above slow bb stop
Enter short at open 2nd candle after a close below slow bb stop

Use opposite fast bb stop as stop.
Or trail as desired...

Slow bb stop setting (180,2)
Fast bb stop setting (90,2)

zip also has ea file for simulated trading
and ea file for managing trades using horizontal lines directly on the chart.
Enjoy...

(the second trade was opened while testing the line on chart ea, not really part of the bb strategy. The lines used by the ea turned gray)

If you enjoy scalping you'll like this one.
Have just started trading it.
Very promising.

Enter long at open 2nd candle after a close above bb stop
Enter short at open 2nd candle after a close below bb stop

Take profit 5 pips.
Use opposite bb stop as stop.

bb stop setting (15,1.5)

Enjoy...

Please explain the stop again. Is it a stop and reverse or hard stop with the BB?
Thanks

I don't trade mt4. I use mt4 for signals. I use Oanda, java based, very first class for scalping. Position sizing in fractional increments. Instantaneous trades. Small spreads.
But this is what trades looks like hand drawn on mt4.

It can be stop reverse. But doesn't have to be.
Testing has shown that setting a tgt is better.
5 pips is easily achieved. There can be more in the trade. 1 minutes moves so quickly if there is some momentum I will let it stay 5+.
But it is the 1 minute so we are looking for a fast 5 pips.
I am considering each trade separately.

Honor the stop...

Ok... your pic shows an entry at the third candle above the BB indy, not the second as stated in your criteria from your first post.

Just a thought you might want to use a Gann hilo 5 lookback to get faster, better entries if you are going to scalp. BB can be your filter to hold you in trades longer.

Hi Jiva

I was wondering if you could please answer a question which I believe / hope that you haven't answered already.

Do you tend to trade in one direction of the band eg. in the direction that the bands are pointing or are you taking every trade for a closed candle out side the band regardless of the circumstances.

Many thanks in advance.
Ezzy

Direction of the bands is not a consideration.
I do look at the market conditions in general.
If there is an obvious candle formation.
A breakout after a sideways market.
A retrace to the 200ema.
Time of day.
Data releases.

If there is doubt about it, I don't take it.
After all it is the 1min. If I miss a good trade it's no big deal. In a few minutes there will be another set up to consider.

Once in the trade, honor the stop...

screenshot shows :
1. obvious breakout
2. a retrace to the 200 ema.

Both would be good reasons to enter on the bbstop signal.

Thank you kindly Jiva.

As I understand it, stop would be the opposite band right?
What you do is a reflection of you....what I do is a reflection of me.
