That was a good week.

I'm only up about 3000 on 22 pairs trading so far this week. Best pair so far this week is long GBP/NZD +280 right now My E$ short is +190. Worst pair is EUR/CAD long -90 and have only 3 pairs slightly underwater.

Hi everybody... I'm back and even more exhausted than when I posted last.
Had a monster of a data center migration to attend to. Have hardly slept at all since Friday. In fact I'm so tired I can't read what I've missed.

So I'm depending on you guys to fill me in on anything important coz I just don't have the energy.

Still have that small short position at 1.3410. Hey, that's 200 pips... not bad, Maybe I'll close it while it's still in profit.

Euro really took a bashing today. I haven't the foggiest clue why as I haven't been following. I'll have to catch up later. Eyes are burning.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that I am still alive.

Glad to have you back, man, was wondering where you were. Those data centers can be really nasty, but you can safely rest now: EUR is in good hands. Falling like a rock

Yup, we may dive even lower. But I dont enter at this stage, I enter only at corrections. Poor cowardish me. But hey, at least I can keep bugging you guys for longer time .

PT you havent missed anything. All happened during Thursday an Friday while you were online. Now just investors had time to digest it is really bad during weekend so we are having sellof whole Monday.

Still holding my long, praying for a miracle .... nahhhh, not really, even though it moved initially like almost 30 pips against me to the down side, the fact that I entered my long when conditions were oversold in so many time frames gives me confidence that I made a wise decision and it will end up significantly in the green to the upside, I will try to hold this till it looks overbought in the 1 hr and then take profits and possibly flip to the short side there (will only consider the short if the 1 hr goes overbought and the price is still below the 200 sma on the 1 hr).

Basicly,

Party on the summit is over, it was too little and probably too late for a short term fix, not what market wanted to really see. Moody's and Fitch have jumped on the European ratings downgrade watch today with S&P shaking up the markets but nobody has actually pulled the trigger on a downgrade yet.

Intel also cut it's forcast today adding fuel to the fire early this morning and both European and US bank stocks lead the way lower today.

Go get some well deserved rest now.

You know nyfx, I am more of an a$$hole than trader, but let me tell you little story.

I have burned my first account right after 2008 Aftermath. I have backtested my account in 2008, before the storm. Everything looked cool and normal, idicators were working, so I took my money and started to trade.

Unfortunately, these are the times when technical indicators stop working. All technicals were screaming buy Tom, buy, it is oversold. And price kept falling and falling and fallin and..... Untill it hit the bottom. Yet after it hit it, idicators didnt start to work. There was another insane spike right after aftermath. Indicators went back to normal around mid 2009. But my account was already gone.

I am sorry if I am bugging you, I am sometimes terrible smarta$$. But please, while listening to indicators these days, keep proper money management.

I dont. When I burned my first account I decided I need 10 times more money and 10 times more knowledge. So I was saving money and learning and here I am again, trying to beat the market for the second time.

Edit: I started this second account, hmmm, when was it. At the end of August.

You have all my mental support for that.

Philosophically, though, I don't see it like "beating the market", but more like "being in sync with the market" (I think I already wrote this here). I don't know about you, but every time I try to "beat the market", it doesn't work. She's way smarter than I am. And more powerful. But every time I try to see that window of "friendship" and "normality" within our relationships, she's giving me pips.

I'm with Tom on this one. You can do everything "right" but still come out wrong, especially with the market as it is now. I've gotten chicken...my method of late is just to trade very small lot...one that i can carry no matter how bad it goes against me, and eventually come back to put me in the green...won't make me a millionaire , but also won't break the "bank"

Hehehe, that is Mindsets point of view. Well, mine is a bit different, and yet it is the same. Philosophically, I would like to understand everything and become one with the market. That is the peacefull part. But market is a chaotic creature which never stops evolving so in fact it is a never ending battle, when you are trying to find weaknesses of the creature so you can ride it.
