My understanding is assuming bar 1 is the bar after IB then the pending should be deleted on open of bar 2 if not filled. Clearly then the yellow line can be deleted and redrawn on next IB.

I have gone for flexibility. PendingExpiryMinutes tells Dibs to send an order expiry time of trade-send time plus this number of minutes. I suggest users make this input a few minutes less than a full candle to make sure the trade has expired before the possibility of a new IB is investigated. The default of 115 means the trade will remain open for nearly 2 hours.

I think I have sorted out the yellow line deletion thingy.

Two comments: Download the latest modification from Steve and replace your current EA with it. Also I noted that your scree states that there is insufficient margin to make trades. Suggest you change bot to the Kiwi margin filter which should solve the margin problem.

I am using the Kiwi margin filter. In expert I got this message "market order #4147931 cannot be deleted". From yesterday the bot still doesnt close the "buy" even the price is below the low of IB. I show today's screen and logs file as below.

Couldn't tell you why the order was placed if the direction was wrong since I know nothing about coding. Once it is placed it can't be deleted. Either the bot will close it or you have to close it manually. If it looks promising I'd let it ride and see what happens. If not close it manually.

Not sure the delete pending thingy is working correctly. I had an IB on AU this morning. My delete pending setting was 65 mins and it was deleted after 8 minutes.

Actually it might have done. The open price was inside the IB and the IB closed very close to the open price. As it happens it crossed to above the open price and then subsequently crossed again and the pending would have been taken. I suppose it was just bad luck the way the open price straddled the IB.

On another note, I have a couple of IB's this hour but some pendings couldn't be set as they weren't enough pips away. If I place a manual trade will the ea pick it up and manage it?

i wonder if you could post a block of code that can turn your sophisticated programs into multi pairs ones. or instruct me how to do it in an adjustable way for any other program.

I have been running both JR and DIBS EA’s on a 24 hour basis since Steve originally coded them. Errors were found in both EA’s and are being corrected by Steve as they are discovered. However there are still problems with both EA’s.

Since the JR EA uses 0 GMT as an opening time and the DIBS EA 0600 GMT which was the time Peter Crown advised in his first bringing the system to our attention no additional corrections have been made to the JR EA. My problem is that I am doing far better with the JR EA than the DIBS. In fairness, the DIBS refuses far more trades than it takes due primarily to:
1. “invalid stops”
2. a failure to post pending orders when an IB forms.
The DIBS bot has taken 7 trades 6 of which have either closed or will close in profit totaling 300 pips. Unfortunately there is also a trade which evidently ignored the stop loss and is underwater by 739 pips.

A little different situation exists with the JR EA. It has taken 42 trades. 35 of them have closed for a loss of 336 pips and 7 remain open with a profit of 2091 pips. The first trade was taken on 5/19 and the last on 5/27. On many of the trades I have had to manually adjust the initial stops but once that has happened the trades have either closed at the first stop or are successfully being managed by the “jumping stop” default on the EA.

Attached below is the trading log for the JR EA. (Orders 2190141 & 2247411 were taken manually and are not included in the above P&L figures. Neither are the orders of 6/3)

BASED ON THE PRECEDING I WOULD SUGGEST THAT THE DEVELOPMENT OF BOTH EA’S CONTINUE OR IF THEY CAN BE COMBINED INTO A SINGLE EA WITH A VARIABLE OPENING TIME THEY COULD BE COMBINED INTO A SINGLE BOT. If Steve hasn’t got the time or interest perhaps another coder could undertake or assist in the JR development. Since this is Steve’s thread this is the only post I will make in this regard and will of course abide by his decision regarding what to do with JR.

They are the same bot apart from more accurate session measurement, a few more display features and bug fixes in Dibs. All you have to do is change the start time input.

Steve, I can't believe that I didn't figure that out. I have a habit of trying to complicate something simple. Either I am an idiot or am getting senile. I prefer being an idiot.

I am trying to follow the trades you have posted.
I was looking at the eurusd on june 24 at 10.00

I am attaching my chart analysis for that day.
it seems on that day it reached a high of 1.4131 but as the hours went
by, the next day it came down to 1.4014.

I was wondering why the trade was'nt stopped out unless the
stop loss was like 60 pips below original buy level.

How did you avoid being stopped out?
also I see that your ea is modified,can you say what you have done
or post it so we can all see the same results.

I'm not sure that I can answer your questions. The initial stop would have been set at the same distance below the entry as the initial TP (1.39951 was the initial stop). In the EA I am using the jumping stop which increases the stop as the trade advances. What I don't know is when the jumping stop kicks in. The jumping stop is designed to both protect profits as the trade advances as well as giving the trade "room to breathe"

The EA was modified by Steve because it was taking trades at the end of a bar rather than at the time the IB was broken by price action.

There were a lot of problems with the EA as there usually are when an EA is created. Steve has opted to use the DIBS ea rather than the JR since he feels it is closer to the original DIBS concept. Basically it is the same EA doing things just a little differently. I was not bright enough to pick this up until Steve pointed it out in answer to my request to continue development on the JR.

I suggest you read the whole thread and then check the posts by Peter Crown as referenced in Murphymans post as referenced on page one of the thread.

i am thinking about the INSIDE BARS and trading this system:
1) wait for the inside bar on H1
2) count the difference between high and low of the inside bar and divide be 2 - in other words get the middle of the inside bar
3) if the close of the inside bar is above the middle - put buy stop on high of inside bar
4) if the close of the inside bar is under the middle - put sell stop on low of inside bar
5) if the close of the inside bar is on the middle (+- 5 pips) put both buy and sell stop on high, low
6) if the stop orders is not hit on close of the next bar - delete the stops

It is possible to program this system as the alternative of jollyrogers system?
