The Royal Wedding has affected the GBP. Its a bank holiday in the UK. Therefore, less trading volumes.

All I see is random directions across all gbp crosses. Can you please point me to why you think gbp was affected today? Maybe post some charts for me so I can grasp what you mean.

In trading, there is no bullshit. You either make money or you don't.

I would suggest you look at the daily ranges - they're a lot smaller than that you would normally see. Only one moving out of the four I'm watching is EUR/CHF, which moved on Swiss news.

Most markets have been affected simply because London Banks are closed today - check the FF calendar. Hopefully New York will step up to the plate and move them......?

I don't understand your argument. On the one hand you say that the ranges are smaller than usual suggesting no influence of the wedding. On the other hand you say that most markets have been affected.

I'm not arguing - I'm simply pointing out that as London is closed (due to the wedding) the ranges are small - therefore the wedding HAS affected most markets.

Actually he tries to say that the small range of today's markets is caused by the wedding (as the bank holiday resulted in low volume, etc), concluding that the wedding affected markets, in that it reduced volatility.
