if the big candle is follow by a small candle within its high-low, that is Inside Bar of the big candle aka Mother Bar.
A MC{3} always start as a Mother Bar/Inside Bar ... then the next 2 candles count...

The key here is what do you trade after a Mother Bar / Inside Bar > ... which is consolidation.

prefer to see a price close above candle 1 of that swing low and HA PA above the 5EMA for a buy trade

it was a difficult day with UK PMI data release.

that H1 Inside Bar is 'iffy' case with the two candle with long upper wick and small body.
when I see 'iffy' PA I would check again the other timeframes and also my other COWABUNGA charts.

your TV TDI is updating on every tick so it can be visually tricky ...

Just a quick review of that setup,
Chart#1 below shows a bounce 8.5 of the TDI green line -5.9

Thanks for your response.
Little Det's about me. I'm 18, an Indian gal. I'm a college student, with majors in Economics & business studies, planned destination being LSE either for Grad or post Grad studies. I want to be a full time / pro trader by the time I grad. I was always interested in economics and currency market. It was during covid lock down that I had too much time at my disposal and started reading a lot at baby pips and here as well, only 3 threads here, though. TMS (here), Arjun's thread and building an equity millipede.
I started demo about a year ago and as I learnt enough about MT4 and with little knowledge because of these 3 threads, saved lil from my pocket money and opened 2, 100$ ac's to test my skills as well as my psychological stability in trading FX.
Here are my doubts.
Everyone advices to trade with the trend. But in my lil knowledge, talking about trend without referring to a particular TF does not make sense as every TF will have its own trend, with different scale / volume. Many say that bulls live above 200 ema and bears exist below 200 ema. My question is 200 ema in which tf? Supposing 200 ema on D TF, what should I do till a Bullish or Bearish rotation happens on 200 ema on D TF? How do I know if the reversal is actually a REVERSAL not just a retracement in a dominant trend?
As I'm trading AJ now, here is my analysis as well as question.
AJ printed strong bullish in Jan, a Doji in Feb and should end a strong bearish M in March. RSI in TDI is sloping down at proper and great angle. But price is teasing 2021 High's (historical R), which was also 2013 Low's (historical S). on W, we got 3 proper LH and LL, stronger down trend indication. On D, out of past 10 candles, 6 candles have bigger wicks at bottom and in my knowledge, price goes against the wick side. Friday candle pulled back by 85 pips from 2021 High's. TDI is OS. on 4H, we have a golden TDI cross over right at 32 level. So, M and W yell to sell but D and 4H indicate a reversal. Is it Reversal or a retracement in a strong down trend?
Dear Emm, as i have seen, you are a master at multi TF analysis and I'm very keen to absorb everything that you can train and mentor me. Got more questions, down the line.

From the many PMs I got over the weekend on this post, obviously many reading here do not have the fundamentals about trading the markets. There are many trading tools available out there and you have to know them and how to use them in your learning journey.

Start here at babypips.com for example - know the market sessions and their characteristics.

There are other tools there for you to learn how to use them. Position Sizing is very important.

To make money trading the markets, you need trading skills. Not just any ordinary skills but very special skills.
There are many skills which you develop over many many years of live real-time market trading.

You don't grad from Uni and become a full-time professional trader.

You need time to develop yourself to become a full-time professional trader. Start with spending 5 to 8 hours everyday for the next 2 to 3 years, you will be amazed how much you will learn in your first 10,000 hours.

One of the many things you will experience and learn in your first 10,000 hours is about how and what to trade in different market types conditions. But first you need to know how to identify the market trend and the various different market types - which are not trending - the sideways ranging market types.

Big E' 5-Method is a time-tested methodology to trade in various market types as you learn in LE1 aka Arjun' thread which you can keep things very simple and day-trade everyday and make some money. You can scalp, you can day-trade, you can swing trade and position trade all the time.

I start with very simple approach.

First step is to have a Big Picture before I jump into using TMS' indicators:

AUDJPY Big Picture
3 simple steps Monthly > Weekly > Daily

Monthly
> know the historical price swing levels
