Dislikedagree. The double top had me almost convinced that the uptrend was over, I was 50/50 on taking it or not. Also, with the nice little angle of the Tdi I was really considering a pending order 5 pips plus spread below that candle that closed below the 5EMA. My indi gave me a signal there but my prejudice for that pair just kept me out. If you use the 5ema in your decisions thenmaybe this indi will come in handy....Ignored

Sure. First saw a bounce on the 1hr but waited for 4hr. See charts below (these are CET, which is GMT-2). When 4hr gave the signal (most recent candle) I drilled down to the 15min to see what the price was doing in more detail. I have my S/R lines on that so they don't clutter the synergy chart. There I could see the 1-2-3 (though the 3 was quite high!) and the fact that the low coincided with monthly pivot R1. Once it breached that solidly I took the trade.
This is a difficult one. I know Eelfranz has said time and time again to...Ignored
DislikedNever understood why someone would need good setups every day. If you have only 2 good setups for the whole week and increase your account by %2 every time, that's a %16 increase for the month..Do the math where this goes to..But unfortunately most traders see trading as a shoot and kill video game..I rather be a patient sniper in that gameIgnored
DislikedCan anyone tell me the significance of the Fib levels on the TDI? Thanks!Ignored
DislikedThe 32 & 68 are not fib lines. The TDI is based on the RSI indicator. The lines are overbought/oversold areas. Google TDI+Mark Malone (the developer of the Traders Dynamic Index) for more info. I found the Mark's videos well worth the time.Ignored

DislikedJust googled it and the only stuff that came up were about tuning TDI jettas, and your post.

To me, the point at which a candle opens is irrelevant. After all, we're trading price, not candles.
EDIT: well after all that it wasn't much of a trade... didn't like the way price was bouncing at daily S1 so got out for +20!

Once the TDI has given a signal, I always look at the 15min to see what price is doing and make my trade based on that. So often it'll be approaching potential S/R and I'll wait for that to be breached. In this case, it was about 25mins after the 4hr candle had formed. I hadn't lost any of the move's momentum... just waited for price action to confirm that the set up was sound.

DislikedAbsolutely fine thank you. My low risk strategy during unpredictable trading conditions continues to be effective, as it always has been. 60 pips here or there is absolutely nothing in terms of the bigger picture. As Eelfranz has stated... he will often get out of trades that start running against him, only to re-enter when conditions are favourable.
You should learn to understand that success in this game is not about one trade. Or ten. Or a hundred. It's about applying strategies that deliver long-term % growth week in week out, month in month...Ignored
DislikedYes, the lad done good. great to see him win after all of his bad luck in recent years.
Guess I should post a pic of Cav, but to be honest I can't get all that excited about someone who sits in a lead out train and just pops out in the last 200 metres of a 180km stage. Oh yes and Renshaw's his lead out man. Another bloody Aussie.
Just waiting till the team pursuit London 2012.Ignored
