I know that Meta EAs are saved and run on your computer so your broker can't really see it. But what about the java/web based automated platforms? Can brokers access to see those files you made?
When I buy it, it moves down.
When I sell it, it moves up.

I am assuming you are speaking of Dukascopy when you mention a Java EA? (strategy) They claim to not view or download your code. This platform topic may be of use, it deals with both broker viewing and source code protection, which is more challenging with Java based code: http://www.dukascopy.com/swiss/engli...php?f=61&t=250
The other option if you are that concerned about someone viewing your strategy/EA would be to use a bridge between MT4 and the Java platform. I have had success with this.
