No matter how many times I read the below XM explanation in relation to the presence or absence of the conflict of interest between XM and its clients, I could not understand what you just said: {quote} Dear XM representative, could you be so kind and re-phrase the above explanation in simpler words so that everyone could get a clear understanding whether XM takes an opposite side of the clients trade and therefore looses when the client wins and wins when the client looses. As from my understanding of OTC FX, if you are a Retail Trader, no matter what model a broker is offering (ECN, STP, Market Making), they will always took the opposite side of investor trade, and it will be their discretionary whether to hedge it out or not.

Unethical Broker, will hold your position, and find ways to let you cut loss.

This is my understanding.

The simple answer I am expecting from you is: "Yes, XM.com does take an opposite side of the client's trade." or " No, XM.com does not take an opposite side of the clien's trade". thank you

Good one

Curious how XM will handle this one and explain how this is not a conflict of interest....

read the pds. all retail brokers make the market. the larger traders they pass on(the a book). the small and unprofitable large traders are kept in house (the b book).
unless you have a shitload of cash for deposit. you are stuck with mms

Dear Hr824,

Your understanding of how a brokerage works is wrong, resulting in your actual question being wrong. In order to help both you and other traders following this thread understanding below I will try to make things as easier as possible.

Any regulated broker has 2 options of how to operate.

a) He hedges his risk with his Liquidity Provider(s).
b) He passes on the trading volume to a liquidity provider, which in turn will hedge that volume elsewhere. A small broker might choose to pass it on to a bigger, broker which has the capacity to hedge it in turn with a Liquidity provider.

In my initial explanation above I have explained that our operational model and risk procedures do the following. The un-hedged net market exposure which is not within the boundaries of the risk procedures of the company is passed on to any of our liquidity providers.

The total amount of non-netted volume between our clients is hedged with our liquidity providers.

The main reason we have stopped offering the product was due to lack of demand for the particular product which could not justify maintenance efforts. Thank you,

Hi Costas,

What if a trader could create sufficient demand by offering a winning strategy to investors through his/her website, while partnering with XM as an IB? Would XM be willing to offer a bespoke MAM solution to the trader then, and what level of demand would be needed? Thank you.

Kosmo

Dear Kosmo,

As noted in an earlier thread we do not offer the MAM solution and unfortunately there is no plan to offer it in the near future.

If for any other reason you would wish to become an XM IB, you are more than welcome to do so by visiting the partner section of XM at http://partners.xm.com/

Thank you and sorry for not being able to cater to your needs.

I would want to know why my stop loss has been hit multiple times and is under it for 8 minutes but was never triggered? How is this possible? Now I am stuck in a position over the weekend which i am very uncomfortable with.

I usually am not of the whiny sort but this seems ridiculous. My stop losses often did not get triggered to the price I have set see screenshot below where my trade was stopped out more than 300points higher is this normal?:

Second situation is absolutely normal. Due to important data release market moves fast and you order can be executed after first tick.

That is strange, it should be executed. Write directly to XM support. Now price is above your stop loss, do you have still opened position? Moreover, there's good PA for bigger upper move. Good luck

I was told many times about same situation, apparently the Chart on MT4 are based on Bid Price.
I assumed your stop should be a Buy Stop...

Dear B00bies,

The middle office has had the ticket number looked up.

It seems you indeed had a SL at 1234.88.

However please note that Gold and Silver Trading Hours stop at 23:50 (GMT +2 on Fridays) as noted on the relevant page on XM -> http://www.xm.com/precious-metals

This is the reason your SL has never been executed.

In regards to your second screenshot I will need the ticket number in order to better assist you.

Thank you,

Dear eurjpower,

If for whatever reason ALT + T is not making one click trading appear then you can right click on the chart and select one click trading from the options which will show there.

Thank you,

HI B00bies, is what the XM rep told you correct? Is that the reason why your sl was not triggered?
