Hi Can anyone clarify for me. Is XM a STP/ECN foreign broker or not. Or they are just Market Makers
Ignored
Dear ntshanel,

XM is classified as a ‘market maker’ because we operate a dealing desk whose primary function is to process telephone orders.

Hello, it is really helpful been able to interact with a representative from XM. I want to know the maximum amount of money, in dollars, that can be withdrawn from an Executive account at a given instance. Thanks.

I think you will be OK with big withdrawals, my biggest XM transfer was more than 13 000$ by skrill, as you can see here = http://www.photoshar.in/my-18000-XM-withdrawal

its great that xm has a representative here answering questions and all that. Im using this broker now, i only put 50 euros to try it out and its really difficult with that amount to make profit but it would be the same with any broker or worse probably. They have answered pretty fast all my emails and i havent had any issues so far. I will post again if i ever get to withdraw something lol

Could you tell me if XM is other side for all clients positions or passes some of orders to real market? I'm asking about zero account.

Are you confirming that XM does not use Dealing desk for counter trading clients trades? Or this is its secondary function. Maybe for one to be comfortable, what does XM use its dealing desk in details.

Hello XM,

You say in your site you are registered in the Netherlands, you offer a link, but it doesn't show you are registered?:

http://www.afm.nl/en/professionals/r...=trading+point

It's just a random page?

How come you are not on the regulatory site (AFM) you point to? Are you not registered anymore?

Thanks

Ok, so why are you registered as Trading Point with AFM, but the name you give us here and use for all your retail trade is XM?

I don't see XM mentioned anywhere in the link you sent....

If you wish to read more you can view our corporate website at http://www.trading-point.com/

Dear ntshanel,

XM operates on market execution and does not interfeer or participate in the process of confirming or rejecting a client order. What you see on the screen is what you buy/sell meaning no human being will confirm or reject your order and therefore there can be no interfering with the price or execution quality.
As noted above we do have a dealing desk which has a primary job of accepting telephone orders and making sure all systems are operating seamlessly.
Additionally the dealing desk has the responsibility of making sure XM risk model is in place, liquidity is always available and that trading is up to par, in order for clients to be getting both the execution and the competitive pricing which XM offers.

Is XM other side of any client position? Does XM earn money when clients lose and lose when clients earn?

Im a happy customer of xm zero account. They are transparent and professional. They have good execution and spreads. Only thing that is not top are the commissions. Taking $10 for 1 lot is a bit too high, from my point of view.

Hi Costas,

What solutions can XM offer to successful traders, wishing to attract and manage investors' funds? I am particularly interested in any solutions protecting the intellectual property of the trader, preventing the system from being reverse engineered, copied or stolen, such as MAM/PAMM accounts, with the ability to hide sensitive trade info from the linked sub-accounts.

As far as I can see here, Trading Point used to offer Multiterminal MAM to multiple account holders. Now that page has been archived and there's no Multiterminal platform to download from the XM website? Why did you stop offering it and are there any plans to bring it back at any point? Thank you.

Kosmo

Dear insomniawawa,

Our size in terms of clients and volume being the largest MT4 broker with over 20 MT4 servers, allows for more than 95% of XMs revenue to be derived from spreads and commissions (in the case of XM Zero accounts) of netting XM client positions. Our size and volumes allow us to operate on this model with any un-hedged net market exposure which is not within the boundaries of the risk procedures of the company being passed on to any of our liquidity providers.

As noted above, XM does not and will never interfeer or participate in the process of confirming or rejecting client orders. There is no human interaction involved in this process. Our operation model which moreover is a pillar of our success, does not allow for us to either change the price, not honor a price shown on the platform or have absolutely anything to do with the process of confirming a client order what so ever.

The price the client sees on the screen is the price he will buy or sell and unlike competition there is no human confirmation of this process. Again as noted above XM does have a dealing desk which can process a telephone order for any client upon the client confirming that the price quoted over the phone is satisfactory. In the case of a telephone order, the dealer will inform the client of the price he sees on the platform the client will agree, the dealer will repeat the price and if confirmed he will buy/sell for the client.

I hope the above answers your question.

Dear Kosmo,

Unfortunately XM cannot cater to the needs you have described as we do not offer MAM accounts at this time.

The main reason we have stopped offering the product was due to lack of demand for the particular product which could not justify maintenance efforts.

Thank you,

No matter how many times I read the below XM explanation in relation to the presence or absence of the conflict of interest between XM and its clients, I could not understand what you just said:

Dear XM representative, could you be so kind and re-phrase the above explanation in simpler words so that everyone could get a clear understanding whether XM takes an opposite side of the clients trade and therefore looses when the client wins and wins when the client looses.

You can appreciate the desire of any prospective CFD forex trader to stay away from a broker that takes an opposite side of the client's trade.
The simple answer I am expecting from you is: "Yes, XM.com does take an opposite side of the client's trade." or " No, XM.com does not take an opposite side of the clien's trade".

thank you
