{quote} Dear jhehe, Please note that both XM and XM Partners are brands operated by Trading Point. There have not been any name changes in the in the registers of financial authorities, where the company is registered as Trading Point. As for the website that you have mentioned, I kindly ask you to study this website and, specifically, XM's entry first before making such assumptions. Best regards, Andrey

i think you're kind of missing the point. aiming4stars is not asking about the "ownership" change, it's the "name" change which is obvious where previously it was xemarkets to now xm.

This company is a complete joke. Today before NFP I was making a sell order at 1.6075 on GBP/USD, I clicked it twice and it didn't go through, I close the client, come back in, annoyed that my order didn't go through as price was dropping, the spread was normal at the time of my order.

I checked my account balance and my money was still there (approx. $2k) ... I was definitely over leveraging at the time as I put in an order for 5 lots.

Bottom line, they went ahead and filled my order at 1.6038 and instantly stopped me out for 2k that second as apparently their spread had grown to 35 pips.

Total joke and unbelievable. I'm never dealing with this company again if I don't get a refund. I've lost tons with this broker and this is the last straw. Other times things happened like this but this was the worst and then watching GU fall 100+ pips didn't help either.

Bottom line you should stay away from XM. Use a real broker that doesn't do this type of stuff.

They claim it's "first come first serve" bs. What a total joke. It's thievery is what it is.

Dear Ck87,

I am not in a position to question your trading decisions but, as you have mentioned, you were over-leveraging and doing so during the NFP release is a recipe for a disaster.

If you are trading during important news announcement such as NFP, you may experience some delay in execution of trades because of the extreme market volatility and increased trading activity. Indeed, we apply the “First Come First Served” (FCFS) model of handling incoming requests. In other words, a queueing system system is used for execution for order. Although it takes milliseconds to execute a trade, the size of the queue may have a minor effect on the execution speed.

Accusing us of unethical behavior before your complaint has been reviewed and the final decision has been made is not fair to say the least. As far as I know, issue with your order has already been resolved in your favor by your account manager.

Best regards,
Andrey

I've been credited back for my $2k.

Would have preferred my order getting filled and making $5k+ profit, but at least I got my money back.

Thanks

Hi. What caused xm mt4 terminal to freeze for about 10 mins a min or 2 before 9am est. I suffered 2 major losses which wiped my acc off. I restarted it and it didnot work. Even checked xm.com signed on showing same frozen acc balance data as on mt4 then 10 mins later prices started to move and there was $7 gap up on gold.
got pips!

today they got back to me and said their liquidity providers had some issue which caused the 10 mins freeze and theres nothing they can do to reimburse me for my losses since i was stopped out on margin call because i couldnt close my trades when i was about to.
A really bad thing to happen for a trader and a really unprofessional broker since it happens frequently.
not recommended at all unless they realize and reimburse me for losses then it would make them understandable
got pips!

I asked them if they cant reimburse me then close my accounts with them i have two. They havent replied and it only shows how professional they are. Willing to move to another broker whose liquidity providers are reliable.

They have this trick to mess with you MT4 platform during news or when you entered a large size. Your platform will just have this "Common Error" thing until you get stopped out... I've been watching this issue since my 1st account with them... First, they will blame your unstable internet connection which is not true. i was having good DL/UL speed as i am downloading while trading...Second, they will blame the mt4 software and will ask you to re install so that it will be up to date which is another BS. I just re installed this thing a week ago and it is in the latest version... It is really obvious that they are messing with your MT4 platform... EX, i was not having issues with the platform, everything is fine but when i entered a large lot the "Common Error" issue happened again... I have back up feed from my charting software and the Error happened when price was against my trade... Bogus tricks... I assume they do this to not let you close trades until you get stopped... Now , i contacted the Customer service about it and they keep on saying that they are not messing with it... I started saying bad words to him and asked him that i will never fund an account again if im not able to open my mt4.... Miraculously, mt4 opened... BS! The guy keep on saying "We are strictly regulated". With my small account even if i report this to the regulating agencies, they would just laugh at it and ask me to move on and find another broker that will not go against you which doesn't exist IMO..

Great BROKER ! Experienced with this broker 10 years already. Great spread, great execution speed, GREAT LEVERAGE. Whopping 888 leverage. MY ASS . Filed an order before nfp releases today. As the picture shown, i filed my order at 15:29 not 15:30 when the server stop their asses or whatever it is that they call as ARBITRAGE trading. I did it on purpose to sell on the last minute as I do not want noises from the market to hit my stop loss. Leverage of 888 that i used, but is that the service that XM BROKER provided us with which we can use as a good weapon? If this really considered as fraudulent act as they said, why not disable the buy, sell order in the last minute of release eh ? here is the picture to prove. SO, in the conclusion, I am banned from dealing business with this broker, and my profit they are cancelling it out : )

its leverage 1:888 for cheating just like its bonuses. couldn't find a difference opening position in XM leverage and other brokers 1:500 leverage
its spreads are high, 2-3-4 and more, in what world are they living!!! they give promotions to cover the high spread and other trading things like limitations on scalping. stay away
