{quote} They are asking if I have the Log or the screenshot for the purchase lots? This is crazy, who in the right mind keep screenshot of their purchase every now and then. I agree with you, it's totally insane to think you will make a screenshot every single time you entry the market...

If you have the screenshot, I think most probably they will honor it. Email to your Account Manager to settle. The live chat is useless, they can't do much.

Y don't you ask your personal manager to call you and discuss wiith them. Same problem was with me too in my micro account but luckily I didn't loose money. But I discussed with my manager for long. He said if this happens again in future and I loose even a cent they will pay me back.

Hi,

I just ran into this topic and I will add my thoughts about xemarkets.

I'm trading with them for a year now.

This is my fourth broker, and after a few days in demo account I decided that it should be my last (yes it was that good).

From my perspective, they are very transparent, they have all the documents on their side freely available, who else got that.

Execution time - awesome. If you are not on ECN, market execution they provide is just great, 99% of other brokers use instant execution method which is like trading with an analog modem with the other side of the universe. Ok for a few months I noticed a little more delay while opening/closing positions, but its still ok, might be just because of the number of traders.

Spreads - awesome. Lowest spreads from all four brokers I tried. Ofcourse floating spreads can become a little wide during the news release (from 1.8 to 2.5 on eurusd), but come on people, trading/scalping in a few minutes after major news release is not trading - is gambling. For all the people complaining about slippage, go to other brokers with instant execution and try to trade news, its better to have a little slippage than not be able to open/close trades at all because of requotes. And again, trading during high volatillity/news is not trading - go rather play blackjack in an online casino.

Ok what else ... hedging. Was not mentioned on their home page, but after testing, if you hedge a position, margin is not used - great.

MT4 access from android app - can't live without it.

Did not read the whole topic only a few pages back, I saw something about server time used. It doesnt matter what the server time is, get into the head using GMT. Server time on xemarkets is showing so, that a new day on charts starts the same time as new trading day. So on sunday evening when the trading start, its also a new full 24hour bar on the charts. If server time would be in GMT, then the friday daily candle would not contain the full 24hours, and there would be an additional sunday candle, for a few hours, which basicly skews the daily technical analyze. So as far server time goes - OK.

Withdraw/deposit - people must get into their heads that brokers/banks and other financial institutions have regulations against money laundering. So be careful from which account you deposit money, and to which account you wish to withdraw. As far as I know, the name and address registered at any broker must be 100% same as financial accounts, from where you deposit or wish to withdraw. The easiest way with less complications is with online e-wallets (paypal, moneybookers, ...), because they are universal and instant. And after you withdraw the amount which you deposited through the same method, that you can request withdraw through another method (if you deposit $1000 throught paypay, then after you also withdraw a $1000 to paypal, the next withdraws can be directly to bank account - if account details are the same as registered with broker).

I also saw on other forums about some bonus scams - bullsh*t. Xemarkets had some promotions, where people got free money, and they were upset when xemarkets took that money back - READ FOR WHAT YOU REGISTERED. If you get $xxx meaning that you cant use this money trading the news, then dont trade the news!! Also saw some people complaining that after first withdraw xemarkers took their bonus away - READ THE FREELY AVAILABLE DOCUMENTS - it's not a bonus, is a 'bonus' a credit, which helps you to open bigger positions that you deposited - it's all written black on white.

OK and now the big one, the biggest reason from my point of view, why xemarkets is the greatest - CUSTOM DEFINED LEVERAGE!!! Almost none of other brokers offers, that you can select leverage you want to use. Almost every other broker gives you fixed 1:200 leverage, and if you are new and inexperienced with forex, 1:200 if you are new and eager/greedy to make money, will just make you lose money, and fast. That's why forex trading is notorious for loosing money, and that almost none can make money with it. Of course not, for new traders every opened position will probably be in the wrong direction, with high leverage only a few trades are needed, and account is empty. Banks also dont trade with high leverage. Here at xemarkets you can change leverage based on your experience and or greed. just GREAT.

Problems with servers - There is maybe once every 2 months that I cant connect to broker for a few minutes. I dont scalp, i'm long term trader, so i dont really care, if I cant connect to broker even for a few hours. Ok actually I have MT4 opened all day long during my regular day job, but I dont look at it regulary, that I would notice any disconnects. Also during the news, I never noticed that when news were released, that I would be disconnected. From reliability everything is ok from my side. Except last thursday/friday, which people here already talked about a few posts up. There was some missing data on thursday morning, yes I noticed, I was disconnected. But it came back after a few minutes and everything was ok. Until Sunday evening opening, at which time I usualy look at the levels for what happened last week. I saw that there was missing data for a half of thursday and whole friday. I mentioned that to live chat agent that weekend meintenance broke the data, he/she said to send screenshots to support email. I send email to support, and when I woke up on monday, everthing was fixed. Also got a call from my account manager, if everthing is ok, if missing data caused any problems with my open positions. So they fixed the problem and asked me if the problem caused me money and needed to be compensated - GREAT. Better this little problems than what I experienced with 2 other brokers, where magicaly NZD pairs had once a month some random 100pip spikes, to tigger some stops.

Someone mentioned about trade not being closed in profit at the end of the trading week. This is also written on xemarkets home page, due to wide spreads on market open/close, there is a few minutes, where you can't open/close positions, so that wide spread dont exidentaly close out the position. Because of use of floating spreads this is very good thing.

And of course I have to mention also bad points of this broker, from my point of view there are only 2 bad things:

1) not be able to select not to recieve daily account statements in email, in my opinion this is just to clog my email acount with emails, that you actually dont need, I know how I traded, dont need an email every day what happened in my account. Monthly email would be just fine.

2) rebrand from Trading Point to XeMarkets - come on, "Trading Point" is much better and professional brand name, than some XeMarkets. Told that to support, told that to live chat agent and also to my account manager.

So actually no bad thing using the money through the broker.

Overall score: 5/5 10/10 highly recomended (if i stop trading with them i will probably stop trading forex in generaly)

The last few days or so, one of our clients noticed something very peculiar about execution. It is taking up to 30 seconds to fill an order, and 8-30 seconds to offset open orders. I must ask XeM, is there any artificial delaying of orders on certain account types, or when certain? This type of activity of delaying orders is not hidden and can be measured.

Note that we are well within the 200 max open order limit, and are placing normal market orders. The same strategy for over 6 months now. This recent delaying of orders is happening all the time.

Previously, execution was less than 1 second per order, even during news announcements. There was slippage, but the orders were executed. The account manager has not returned the clients request to discuss this, and live support is not commenting on the matter other than to suggest that during major news annoucements, many traders are trading at the same time. Up to 30 seconds to open/close an order on a very reliable VPS?

I sincerely hope this is a big misunderstanding, although i'm a bit worried about the implications here.

Dear ybfjax,

I find it hard to believe that execution of your client's orders take this much time unless there are connectivity problems between VPS and our servers. I will be glad to help you on this issue, however, you have not sent me your client's account number.

I kindly ask you to send the account number and other relevant details to andrey(at)xemarkets.com.

Best regards,
Andrey

Thank you so much for the info. you are right in everypoint you touched on. no one is perfect and there are some mistakes here and there but most importantly if the broker owner its mistakes i have no problems with that. I have no account with this broker but i'm really looking to join them.
