It a great program. However when I tried to run the COT update it gave me an error on my MAC computer.

From the DEBUG it says, the line NSWFN(Aplication.GetOpenFilename.......etc has an error. Someone in google says that the MAC does not support the command.

What can I do to (something simple that is ) on the Debug that will enable this good tool to work on my MAC.

I would appreciate your assistance.

Could you update new files with latest COT data? I'll post new files with latest data every week for everyone here.

You can select the lines, right click to change line to "column type" or you can select each line and use the menu above to do the same thing.....

Hi Hordane,

Thanks for your hard work. It is a great tool.

But when I try to add more charts into the worksheet, I cannot enlarge the worksheet to accomodate the new chart. I have to squeeze the chart since the available space is from A:1 to AC:43.

Is there any way to enlarge the space of the worksheet?

Hi Sym,
I too use excel 2007, and I have had no problems. I have re downloaded the file after reading your post, and it is still working fine. The file is definitely not corrupted. I think you may need to adjust your "Macro Security" settings. If you go to the "developer" tab, you will find an option to adjust your Macro settings. (See attached images). However, if memory serves me right, by default, when first installed (excel) the "developer tab" might not be shown. Its is also possible that not all versions of excel 2007 have the "developer" tab. If you don’t have the developer option, you can still access the "macro security" settings by right clicking the "Microsoft office" icon, and selecting "Trust Center" (image also included). I hope one of these fixes will do the job for you, it is definitely a great tool!

Hi Hordane,

Your worksheet seems to be just the thing I've been looking for. Unfortunately, when I try to run it, I get the following error message:

"Run-time error '91:
Object variable or With block variable not set."

I'm working on Excel 2010.

Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this problem?

Kind regards,

drofwarc

It appears you have a gap in your data. It looks like yor missing the cot data from about 3/15/2012 to the current. You can solve that by using the last worksheet in the "COT Excel Tool - desegregated data" called "Historical Data Import". You can download a file of all Data from 2006-2012 and the 2013 to current. Just cut & paste the data of both sheets into one file. (you can add data from one sheet and paste it into the other). Then sort the data by currency, then by date. Then copy the data to line 3 of the "Historical Data Import" worksheet. Do each currency separately. Paste the data, click the "calculate" button, then click "Copy historical data" button, and tell it what sheet to populate with the new data. Click reset and do the next currency. The instructions on the "Historical Data Import" worksheet (last page) should be self explanatory
you can find the historical data files here:
