Attached is a version that: fixes the error reporting bug; does an idiot check on the pairs input list.

If you do not care about the reporting bug and are capable of making alterations to the inputs, then you do not need the fix.

Thank you Steve.

The problem is that when at least 1 pair is disable by leaving a blank, only 2 trades are opened 1st buy enabled & 1st sell enabled of the 6 that I enabled.

I am still getting the same error message. It goes into an endless loop, and have to remove the EA in order to stop the error reporting.

Maybe it's something I am doing wrong since no one else has reported this.

Anyone else who is not trading all the pairs, and uses a broker with some extension after the symbol?

Thank you.

I had 5 baskets pop overnight, and stopped it a few moments ago.

Since I am having trouble with the latest basket EA, I am using the EA from post 1 on 6 pairs with MPTM global TP of 25.

Try doing it from the source code. Save it and recompile. Hope this help.

Ye Gods. Hell's Bells and Buckets of Blood. Bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep.

Anyone got a handy shotgun? I need it to turn it on myself.

Anyone got a handy hitman? I need to turn him on the poster to this latest piece of lunacy.

Jesus, but does it never occur to some of the dimmer contributors to these threads that: if you insist on testing a bot to destruction, then you can expect destruction of the bot?

fxtrade13, are you seriously saying that it never occurred to you to move your trading pairs so there are not any gaps? How much mind-reading do you expect a piece of software to do, for crying out loud?

fxtrade13, I am not going to hunt down and include idiot checks for every idiotic thing that an individual thinks of to derail what is essentially a simple piece of software. Sort this out for yourself and don't bother me with it again.

I'm sorry to have bothered you.
It was the last thing that occurred to me, but it did.
I'm a manual trader, but hopefully I'll get better with this.

Thanks.

With a due sense of dread and despair, I attach the latest update. Given the ability that some posters have displayed for mucking things up, goodness knows what they will make of it.

For those of you with firing brain-cells, the relevant input is HedgeAtLossPips; you can undoubtedly work out for yourselves what this is about.

Watching the bot at work last week, it looks as though the second profitable trade and hedging options might simply cause the dd to increase. It could well turn out that the best way to run it is as DC originally intended - isn't too hard to work out why. So, tonight I am starting 3 new demos:

  1. Naked DC
  2. Dc + extra profitable trades
  3. DC + extra profitable trades + hedging losers at the default

'twill be interesting to see what happens this week.

Have fun everyone

I have updated post 1 with a description of dc's ea. Future updates of the bot will go into post 1 so it does not get lost.

With all due respect, get over it & relax sir, it's always better for our well being.
I'm a manual trader, but I still think there is hope for me with robots.

I am a profitable full time forex trader, but I've always traded manually since I don't trust robots, but yours(Old Beast) are quite good.
You may be better than me(and most here) with robots/code, but that doesn't make you a better/more profitable trader.

Go play some piano(I'm a musician as well), that helps me a lot(I play guitar).
Thank you for sharing you work here, and your piano tracks on your website.

Peace.

well.. for days and weeks I am trading manual ACD system (Mark Fisher's, with slight changes) and I can tell you that it works very good......have changed A and C values . ..opening range, and point B changes...and pivot and rolling pivots points are calculated too(1 and 3 days).. etc....will explain better if you want me too....!?

looks to me that it might be worth to make the bot ! ? in fact it can be as good and profitable as The Beast ( and maybe better then Nanningbob V5) !!!

cheers

do not want to bug you though...

Dear Argon

Fantastic! Would you mind updating us with your configurations and changes from time to time in STEVE`s logical trader thread (http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=285053). As you know Brijon`s method is his adaptation of fisher`s ACD method. Moreover, one of the pillar`s of fisher`s method is tight SL (he may trade a pair 3 times during one session), however with the criminal forex brokers SL hunting this would be a futile exercise. I have tried using this bot`s HIDDEN SL features as well as mptm`s HIDDEN features to experiment various settings, but for some unknown reason it seems to cause a conflict and close the trades almost instantly. I would be grateful if someone who is not as illiterate as me could have a look at this and let us know if there is a way round this. It may well be the case that I am doing something totally MORONIC but various tests have been inconclusive.

Kind regards

Would appreciate if you could explain further your ACD adaptation. I guessed Steve would not mind you doing it as it help other traders.

Thank you.

So far today
from what I can see the original DC 6 pairs 3 buy 3 sell no hedge and no pips2ndtrade is doing the best. The other 2 hedge and hedge pips2trade although hvae a higher balance the equity is low =large DD but way way early

I concur with dryclean... I made about $200 on $5k I came in today and saw DD at $-400 with the second trade. I went back to the 14 pair hedge... see how many pops it gets and if it ever gets into trouble. (SWAP might be the only killer)

Don't think swap will matter too much on 6 pair as they rinse and repeat about once every 4 hours

I have not tried it on 14 pairs I did I'd make the target profit maybe $10

Latest update to DC's version is in post 1.

There is no change/addition to the trading/closing logic, so those of you using the previous version successfully do not need the update yet.

I have consolidated the buy and sell pairs into two strings rather than 14 different variables. As usual with my multi-pair bots, pair suffixes are automatically catered for, so users can forget them. Those of you familiar with my previous work will have no problems with the inputs. Newbies, just follow the template of the inputs.

There is a new input that can make the bot default to DC's 6 pairs.

This bot has made a highly promising start and I am beginning to think about future live trading, and hiding our activities from the crims.

I have added trading hours to the bot. If we really do get to the point of trading live, then we will be able to set the bot to trade during our 'normal' trading hours.

I am going to add a pseudo-random length sleep after a basket closure to further simulate live trading. What I am considering is this: isolate the number of seconds that have elapsed in the latest minute; turn this into a minute figure; subject this to a minimum of, say, 15; make the bot sleep after closing a basket for this length of time.
