My dd comes and goes. It is normally steady at about 8%, but has never been higher than 15%. Granted, 15% dd would have some traders crying, but I have the requisite BOS to trade the marketplace.

The latest experimental version is at http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...&postcount=197

I post this in case people have missed it. I am very hopeful that this will become The Beast of the future. Trades are far fewer but the more stringent trade requirements also lower dd hugely. I am enjoying what I am seeing...

I would like to confirm the positive impressions of Steve on "The Another Experimental Beast_EA", if there was never need it given the authoritativeness of the source from which they originate, but also to signal the positive results of the other version of The Beast, that with ATR that also has a low DD (The Beast with Atr hedging_EA).

I have not data precise to send but I believe that others that follow the thread can confirm it.

Thanks to everybody, always!

Done and uploaded to post 1. AEB now has its own section in post 1 and I shall post further updates there.

I would like to signal an error in my account demo where I make to turn the program in object: as can to notice from the enclosure file, an order buy has been closed to have reached the TP but in loss! I don't succeed in explaining me such possibility.

I hope that someone can help.

Where they served other data (file log, other orders or other) do me him to know.

A thanks since now, naturally.

Not enough information to work with, so no idea. Sorry.

Steve - are you using AEB with loads of pairs or just the fab 5? Default settings?

Fab 5 + ucad, eurchf, eurgbp. The last 3 chosen largely at random. This bot trades so rarely, I am going to add a shed-load more pairs.

Not sure about the defaults because the trading and coding machines are separate.

This morning is throwing up a glitch that needs fixing. I am setting a breakeven at the Gold line, but the second trade is a gold-line trade, so AEB is trying and failing to set a breakeven stop whenever it is close to being in profit. I will sort that out later.

Steve, I'm still running the original TB and I'm hardly getting any trades either so I believe that it is the market conditions not lining up yet for it to trade like it had been in previous weeks.

FranKalde,
If you have your recovery starts in: set to 2(default) the trade you posted will be half of your recovery and will be combined with a +TP on the same pair. If your Recovery Breakeven Profit Pips is set to 10(default) you will gain 10 pips profit on the recovery.
I got really involved in this awhile back because I was loosing money on recovery...My workaround was to set my RBPP total to 30 and now I am at least getting a +TP total....as of now usually 15 to 20 pips profit on all recovery's....
I hope this is understandable and helps....

Steve I uploaded AEB earlier and now it kicked in recovery for EURAUD. Except that it opened 2 recovery trades less than 30 secs apart. Can you validate there is still a working sleep function?

It dawned on me that I have over-complicated matters by coding a separate AEB.

Please go the the AEB section in post 1 to read about my latest update. This should be a big improvement on the current version.

Hi Steve,
We're having a great Thanksgiving day here....About 20 family members and 2 20lb turkey's....Hope everybody is well.
Now to the reason for this post.....
The Beast with ATR Hedging is running well and I'd like to add a little to it if you catch a spare minute...
When the bot is hedging it forces you to stay in the hedge until you hit breakeven...If you try to close the trade and take the profit and manual trade from there on it refires another hedge trade....I'd like to be able to tell it (user option) to refire that trade or not to trade and let me go into manual from there.
If you get a chance to think about this I'd appreciate it....
Have a great day......

I just realised you already have that facility.

If you don't want TB hedging for you, set UseHedging to false before manually closing the hedge trade.

Steve

Many thanks for the promotion to the Premier Division. I am honoured and humbled .... more used to relegation !

Just to follow on from my post in the newbie’s thread

I hear what you say, but I had been watching this pair closely for several hours to see what was happening so as to try and be sure before I posted and I am not totally convinced it is due to the queuing of instructions ( or lack of ) as you state
As best I can remember the bar following the sixth lines creation bar was not particularly fast moving and took some time to retrace back to the dashed magenta line leaving ample time for order placement etc even allowing for some MT4 delay

Also I was monitoring the two previous lower low bars to the one forming the sixths lines in the screenshot which also made the sixths lines re-draw.
In both cases pending orders were set, but only following the subsequent bar retrace to the magenta line, not when the bar closed and again with not fast retraces as I recall

I will try to watch other situations to see if it repeats
Don’t know if anyone else has seen this ?

I will keep on looking through the code in case I spot something. There are some pretty teriffic proof-readers here too, so you never know what might emerge.

AEB is looking fabulous at the mo. I have it on a shed-load of pairs but the stringent trading demands mean there are not a lot of trades. DD is very slight so far - and this at a time when TB is still clicking in the profits well, but at the cost of about 10% dd most of the time.
