There are some days like today where perfect entries payoff.
This was a +53p trade.
H1 10EMA in confluence with Daily Pivot near to M15 35/50 that were in down trend.

Nevertheless, when price gets that momentum after news, and you see there is no close resistance near, you can wait for a M5 retrace to M5 12/23 to grab some pips.

This one gave me +20p on EU today

Even the clearest of signals don't always work out, hence the importance of stop loss and keeping it tight.

But then there's always another good signal that will work: a confluence of resistance levels on M15, M30 and H1

Hi Kostas

Do you still use the luktom visual order editor EA & if Yes, did you consider an addition of hidden SL / TP feature?

Here is the version you uploaded long time ago.

Classic short, M15 35/50 with H1 10. Best entry would have been one bar earlier but I was scared for H4 200 bouncing long.
For those trading H4, if the M15 starts showing pinbars long it could be a good entry long (H4 SMA200 confluenced with MP).

Maybe giving a little more space on volatility?

by the way Kostas, would those two trades be acceptable by your criteria or not enough confluence or too much resistance ahead?

Tonny, both are pairs that I don't have any experience with. But from your charts its seems it was not the first EMA10 bounce and also the 35/50 MAs were not parallel...

thanks Kostas! i thought gbpjpy 35/50 were almost parallel (converging). but when i look at many of your example they are often not parallel - they are always slightly converging or diverging? the distance between emas on euraud was quite wide to be fair.

I can see two factors that led to the loss.

First, you placed too tight a stop loss. Don't forget that G/J is more volatile than most pairs, so it needs a wider SL. I would have placed it 3-4 pips below that pin bar and waited for a meaningful move towards the direction of the trade before moving it to BE.

Second, by the looks of it, there was no confluence of support and it does not follow the rules of a 10 MA touch trade. The MA was already flattening out and the angle is definitely not steep enough.

Personally, I wouldn't have traded it for one more reason: there was a big move triggered by economic data. It is very difficult to identify the direction of the market once the initial impulse fades away. I choose to stay away from the market for a while, unless there's a very clear signal.
