Disliked{quote} Great job! I actually chose to stay out simply because of price action on H1 chart being under the 35/50 MA's, but wishing I would have jumped in now Looks like I will end up without trades today since I missed the two bar pullback on USDCAD after the news because I was out buying groceries. Typical monday.Ignored
Disliked{quote} thx...taking no trade on days is also an important tool to success. if the PA is not what i want to see, then i do nothing.Ignored
Dislikedbought accidently a little bit early, but still made +20 pips. NU long, M15 10 touch...i watched AU, which like to play synchron and they where bullish too shooting to dayly new highs. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Nice trade! I actually took it the other way on the H4 since it hit the MA and also a chance for double top. That would not be considered a pure dance style play though. But I have taken this trade in the EURAUD. First a two bar touch of 10EMA, and then I added to the position when i thought it started looking like a constrainment trade also. Going my way so far... hoping for continuation. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} yes, absolutely a nice constrainment! i always see them when its done;-)Ignored
Disliked{quote} haha, I have the same problem. I find a least a couple every day, but always after they happen. So I am really training hard to spot them. This one, luckily enough was happening in front of my eyes since I was already in the trade. So for the sake of learning I added a little to my position.Ignored
DislikedA question for the group if I may. I've been reading through the old Dance thread and one thing that has always mystified me is the concept of the 10EMA "turning over" or "hooking". When P/A retraces to the 35SMA or 50EMA the 10EMA will always end up turning up/down before the p/a hits either of the larger m/a's. I see it referred to constantly but haven't been able to tell when the hook is good or bad. Can anyone advise?Ignored
DislikedAnother question. How many actually take a trade off the touches of the 35 & 50 on the daily chart? Reason I ask is that I've been watching the simulator and don't see them being respected that often.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I havenīt a really good answer for this , but the reason we look for touches means we look for retraces in a trend. I got more stopped out when ; Example long : 10 ema, 50 ema 35 Sma was the touch ... Short.... same case. 10,50,35 .. touch .. but I didnīt enter ..... and around 50/50 i was right in that decision . Why ??# The maīs mark the price.. and the continuity of that price.. But thereīs one more observstion I did the last 16 months: When the 35 Sma crosses the 50 Ema in a trend.. normally price moves a minimum of 10-15 pips ( m15...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I don't think I'm understanding. Do you mean that for shorts?: - the 10 is lower than the 35 which is in turn lower than the 50 then it's a stronger trade? Makes sense I suppose since that would indicate a pretty strong down trend.Ignored
DislikedThanks Intense. The 10EMA is very useful on the Daily, it's the other MA's on that TF that I don't see much action from. However, I still need to figure out what the 10EMA turning means. I'll reference a couple of posts so you can see what I mean. Reading the posts below where "turns" are mentioned a couple of times. quoting eclayf in one of them... "Just another little thing I look at pretty seriously, is that once price has TURNED the 10, momentum has ALSO shifted. For price to go above or below it for a touch is not an issue, but when it TURNS,...Ignored
