What other markets have been trading? I guess you learned cup and handle from stocks.

DislikedI'm bearish GJ all the way down to about 128, but that will take a while to play out so I'll be both long and short.
I still hold some shorts.
It has not broken the previous highs.
USD is still gaining strength while GBP is not getting much stronger and there isn't much good news coming from that side of the pond either.
JPY is not weakening and looks to be consolidating and I feel we'll see 90 soon again.
sometimes its just a matter of being in front of the screen to catch a good entry.
I don't expect to see 145 but if we do all hell may...Ignored
DislikedOptions can give good insight aswell apparently. each put that was bought on goldman sachs a few days back made $2,000,000.
food for thought.Ignored
DislikedLOL - another urban myth - the share price dropped from ~190 to ~160 so around a 16% fall.......so perhaps the TOTAL value of ALL of the Puts written incresed by $2m......but not each single one....assuming that you are talking about an Exchange traded product. Now for a "exotic" - that's a different ball game....http://cdn.forexfactory.com/images/icons/icon12.gifIgnored
DislikedRobert,
Would the be the type of trade you would take in line with your 23 fib retracement then go long...?
Is there any way you filter when you can expect it to only retrace this level. Obviously a retracement to this level represents a mere pause in the trend...Ignored
DislikedYes, 32 fib seems to be the miracle, I'm even contemplating switching solely to looking for and trading this pattern.
You, also need to train your eyes to spot the cup forming, some time frames are better to see it on then others and also depending on the pair, but I don't have a formula for it just train your eyes and you'll see it everywhere and on all time frames.
In fast moving markets you'll not see a nice cup it'll be just V's but the 32 fib still generally holds.
I'm short EURUSD, unfortunately from much lower levels but will keep holding.

DislikedI'm not a fan of hedging either...whenever I've tried it I've always managed to lose more lol...but it sounds like a good idea to me. One thing I like about using Oanda (being open24/7) is that if there is going to be a big opening gap n Sunday I know about it prior to the open so can affectively hedge ant open MT4 positions on Oanda before my MT4 broker opens on SundayIgnored
DislikedThat is interesting I had no idea that Oanda was open 7 days a week.
Can you trade 7 days a week there - I assume the liquidity is not that good on weekends.
