Dislikedwould be interested to open an MT4 account whit them... currently testing there MT4 Demo and seems stable. Also commissions seems low. Also if you find a referer for them the commissions will be even lower.. All in All it's one of the broker i would trust for my trading.Ignored
DislikedDemo getting better. I'm still getting a few error messages with Duka that dont happen on any other platforms but it hasnt effected the trading (yet) - I'm actually amped to use them. The 30:1 leverage reduction is my only worry. - I would hate to open my platform on Sunday and see all the trades closed my margin call because of a broker created margin reduction.Ignored
DislikedI thought 5K was the smallest opening deposit and smallest trade size is 1K. - http://www.dukascopy.com/swiss/engli...ding_accounts/Ignored
DislikedHow much longer are they allowed to go on without a banking license?Ignored
DislikedNot long at all.
The warning for me came when they began to reduce minimum deposits, firstly from 50k to 10k and then to 5k.
I trade with a few different brokers/banks but moved most funds away from Dukas last year once they began to stall about the issue of the banking license, not to mention more and more frequent liquidity problems.
Ask yourself, why would they begin to drastically reduce minimum deposits? because they are doing really well and don't need the business?, or because most of the large players moved funds away?

DislikedFirst of all they DON”T need a banking license to continue as a Forex brokerage. They are already regulated by FINMA (look it up).

DislikedYour facts are completely incorrect.
They DO NEED A BANKING LIICENSE (look it up lol).
Although they have applied to FINMA, FINMA have not issued them with a Banking License.
I use multiple brokerages and do not promote or have a hidden agenda.
I would say err on the side of caution and WAIT until they are issued a license, but thats just me.

DislikedOK, I'm wrong. Must have been too early in the AM for me.

DislikedHi John,
No probs, I struggle in the mornings until I've had the 3rd cup of coffee, fully understand
On the other matters I have no further comment, but what I can say is I would wait until they are issued with a license. They submitted an application over a year ago and it should have been issued by now. I would advise caution.

DislikedFINMA is the one taking their sweet time with the licences, not Dukas or any other broker, they have done all that was required of them.
Inside information about any funny stuff going on at Dukascopy? No, but interestingly I received this this morning...a sign of them getting ready to move house...to Latvia?!
