Check out my EA results. In the past month and a half, it profited 88000 PIPs(analyses page).

It is a multi-time frame system. In the past I developed a simplified version of my EA. The simplified version is what got me to the advanced version I have now. The new version i'm currently running is very different but overall the concept remained the same, use multi time frames.

here is the link to the old Trading System:

It only had 800+ orders in the past month and a half, i do not think this is a high frequency trading system. Not enough orders.

Hi c0d3,

how much is in common with your older system, have you changed the indicator or timeframes used? (or both!)

I am just venturing into multi-timeframe methods, by using a 30sma on D1, H1 & M30 and using a stoch for entry on the M30, but getting nowhere yet!

any pointers?

thanks,
Steve.

Your approach is the classical analysis. That is what i have started with, and it didn't make much of anything. Then i started visually watching my multi time frame EA in the strategy tester in MetaTrader platform. And started seeing some patterns in the channels, and basically went from there. The time frame is the same, and the indicator is the same. The major difference is that i have included the indicator in the EA, since it was eating my CPU. When you have like 3-4 EAs on different instruments, the CPU usage was 100% at all times. Way too much access to the indicator. After all that, the indicator code was implanted into the EA. Now i can run the EAs on as many instruments as is allowed, and the CPU is not being eaten alive.

Your EA looks great from first posting. The graph shows deep declines but I don't see large losses which would account for the declines? Is your first simple EA the one you are sharing or a second improvement model? And, I too would like to know if the MT4 stats are from your current version or the shared version? Since you have the month and a half of analysis, do you tend to lean to use less currency pairs of those which the analysis shows are the most profitable, or do you feel the broad 23 pair array adds some gain to the results?

I sure wish to participate in a trial when you think it is ready to run?

Thanks for sharing your EA with FF members.

Cheers,
Atlas1

You are not reading the graph correctly. That graph is balance vs orders. Not balance vs time. I was confused the same way, until i started reading the correct X and Y axises. I updated the shared EA 12 times, which is the current version i have now. I do not intend to share this program with the public for obvious reasons. I will continue using 23 pairs, as that gives a good diversification on the account.

Forgot to ask, do you run the 23 pair on two charts (same TF's) or does it require less pairs per chart? Which time frames do you think produces best
results from your testing?

Thanks again,
Atlas1

one chart, handles all pairs. m30, h1 & h4 are the good time frames, due to spread.

How about the S/L? is it still the original TP/2 hidden or another way of S/L?

Does the EA modify the TP after the initial order? (I notice some of them changed TP to entry point)

How do you code the EA to handle multiple pairs by attaching to 1 chart? (any good articles to read on?)

Thanks

The entry/exit, TP and SL are proprietary functions in the EA that i have developed.

You hardcode the symbols in the EA, instead of using Symbol(), you specify which currency you wish to use. I hardcoded all currencies into a single EA.

hi, c0d3,

I tried running your old EA over September, wow I see what you mean about it eating the cpu!

I looked over the data from the new EA, it seems your take profit has grown somewhat & so presumably has the stoploss.

I will try to get the indicator coded into the EA as you did (if my maths is up to it!) in an effort to see what you saw!
thanks,
Steve.

I do want to mention another very important aspect about my EA. Previously in the old version which is available for download, the EA was using three different time frames for entries. The new EA looks at all the time frames, up to H4. The indicator in the EA is applied to every time frame(hardcoded) with the same settings(excluding M1), to determine the time frames channels, and when there is a high probability entry, the EA enters. I recommend running this EA in the strategy tester across all time frames M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, to see the TP and SL targets, across the channels.

let me make a guess here, do you wait until all slopes are in one direction, then , when 5M & 15M change you wait for 5M to change back & then enter?
in the hope that 15M will also change back?

sort of, DSP engineering on the signals is how i can describe it. Analysis on the time frames to determine probability of direction.

hi c0d3 ,
this ea looks very good.
I am using one ea with success but I am searching for another one for diversification purpose.
My coding skills are not enough to write my own ea or modify ready old ea.
Please pm me how can I contact you?
