Looks like it's going to be a great week for all of us

Nice trades everyone!

What do you think about GBP/USD this week? It currently is in the 1.9250 area at the BB4, and it looks like it's a support from the beginning of January.
Ignored
I don't know if I would expect a long opening soon. By my charts, GBP/USD has a fairly large window(Due to me excluding weekend data) gapping down, and is generally showing bearishness.. I would wait for a doji or 2 before I went long; or at least a strong bull bar could do the trick.

Might be a chance for long in the next day or two

Good luck,

Kevin

Wow... I'm in shock that I have found a way to improve my existing method significantly!
Kevin,

Wow . . . Congratulations! I think most of us are pretty darn happy with the method we've been using, but if you've found a way to improve it for your own use . . . good for you!

I'm currently up 255 pips on USD/JPY, although it finally took a bit of a breather overnight. It will be interesting to see if the plunge continues for a while.

My target on EUR/USD was hit for 64 pips.

I'm looking at a possible Long on USD/CHF later in the day if price holds about where it is now.

Hey semar,

How'd you know it was going to go back up?

Thanks,

Long looks good! I'd set your TP for ~1.2240 as it looks to be a area of resistance. At least see what happens when it gets near that level.

Also,
USD/JPY is lining up for a short some more Check it out on the 30 minute chart. Can we say double top?

Might be eating my words here. Price just broke resistance, but not by much.. I didn't enter yet, but I'm gonna see what happens.

I'm hoping for a little more than 33 pips out of the trade, but we'll see.

I drew fibs from from the start of the current down trend @ 1.2437 on 2/22, and a .618 retracement brings us to 1.2311, which also coincides with previous support.

On the other hand, despite the analysis, the markets have been crazy the last few days, so time will tell.

I expalined on page 4 why I think it will go up on mid/long term.
But on short term, I notice that allmost all the time when a pair rallies for a significant suport/resistence (one that was in the past a major trend turning point) and it touches it just simply stops for some time there (probably everybody wan't to see what happens) and after that it will retract a number of pips and then breaks that suport/resistence with a small number of pips; and so on(retraction/breaking) for 3 times ussualy.

I inserted a chart to understand better. Sorry for thet z in resistente, wrong letter

Indeed, time WILL tell. So far USD/CHF is forming a doji today, but that could certainly change. Good luck Yen!

Alright,

I'm afraid this journal is going to be rather uneventful in regards to my posting, as I have OFFICIALLY decided to trade ONLY GBP/USD, GBP/JPY, and USD/JPY. I am very much looking forward to testing my new entry technique, and the backtests are quite impressive. If I do remotely as good as backtests with 4% risk per trade chances are that within a year my money will be multiplied by any value between 4 and 36. 36 sounds amazing to me! Attached are my backtest stats for the past year. There were 146 trades so expect a trade from me every 2.5 days on average (Rough estimate).

I encourage you all to post your trades and observations so we can all help each other, as I don't want this thread to be strictly limited to only the pairs I trade. So keep on keepin' on, and I will try to comment on potential pairs I see lining up along with my 3 pairs.

With that being said, I am seeing EUR/CAD lining up for a short. I would set a T/P for 1.5347.

Good luck,

Kevin

Kevin,

Along the same vein, I don't trade USD/CAD, but for those who do, a Short possibility is showing up on my charts, with a target around 1.1692.

Lee,

It's great to have your input! NZD/USD looks like a definite Long. A word of caution, though, as New Zealand will issue an interest rate statement on Wednesday at 3 p.m. EST. The forecast on FF is that the rate will be raised, which should bode well for a Long trade, but it might be good to have an eye on the charts around that time

Thanks Yen for the heads up. I have only been trading forex for less than 2 months...still on a demo. I need to learn to be mindful of news like this.

Kevin,

Wow . . . I just noticed you added your photo to your posts . . . finally we get to see the man in person!

I would do the same but then the thread would quickly lose its popularity, so I'll stay faceless for now (but not humorless).

Haha, yes, it is me contemplating when I am finally going to get to place a new trade in my 3 pairs.

And don't be so hard on yourself

My CAD/JPY trade stopped out this night at +510 pips.

My old USD/JPY trade is still running at +409 pips, expect it to stop out tonight maybe.

Some new trades:

Short EUR/GBP @ 0.6800
Currently: -1.7

Short USD/CAD @ 1.1755
Currently: -10

Long GBP/USD @ 1.9306
Currently: -12

Long AUD/USD @ 0.7766
Currently: +18

I'm not so sure about the GBP/USD trade, but it looks like has lost some of the momentum in the lower BB, I see that as a buy signal. What do you think?

TP not sure, decide later
SL 1.9301

I think this pair is heading to the next fib lvl @ 1.9360. I hope it will break it.

Hello Semar,

Can you please explain why you did not take the SMA As your TP and also what was the reason to select SL=19301?
Thank you.

It looks as though GBP/USD, USD/JPY, and GBP/JPY are all lining up for a long. A break above the last pivot point high's on all 3 pairs will confirm it for me. Should hopefully be by tomorrow evening(March 8th's evening).

I'm anxious to see how well my new method does!

Good luck,

Kevin

Hello, Kevin,
What is your new method? Do you share it with us or it is your own private method. However, we are happy and content with your original BB method.
Thank you for that.
