Script/EA to balance losing trades agianst winning trades

I am looking for help with a script or ea which when applied to a chart will balance out losing orders with winning orders.

The idea is that it will close a losing order and then any no of winning orders to balance that loss. It will repeat this process in a loop until it cant close any more orders, leaving only the winning or losing orders.

The script/ea should be chart/pair specific.

the first thing that i will need is for you to open a metatrader account with forex.com, with their uk division.

http://www.forex.com/metatraderuk/

install the platform on your computer off of your root directory, create a subdirectory that is named forexuk.

c:\forexuk

install the metatrader platform in the above named subdirectory.

i like for us both to be on the same page.

when you have successfully gotten this far, and have opened the game account, be prepared to send to me the account number and master password.

i will like for you to open up some trades on said account and then you will tell me in what fashion that you would like them to be closed.

btw, i use forex.com and already have their platform on my desktop.

once we write the code and get it finished, you can use it on whatever broker you like.

just to clarify, i will write your code, in it's entirety.

hi Ed,

I've attached a pic to give a better idea of what i mean.

Above a pivot i am buying, below it i am selling. if the price has moved up, i want to close of as many of the losing (sell) trades and offset them with the winning (buy) trades. process should loop until i am left with no trades left to ofset on 1 side.

the offset needs to be done in money terms, so if closing a sell trade was -$10 then keep closing buy trades until that much money has been covered.

then do the next one.. repeat etc.

i believe that i did precisely that.

allow me to refresh your memory, if you dont mind.

install the platform, precisely according to my instructions.

open some trades, precisely as you will want them to be in a real world trading situation.

do not use another broker.

do not install to a different subdirectory.

do it as i requested.

i believe that i took quite a bit of time posting the above instructions.

fyi, i happen to know what i am doing, i have been churning out software since 1983, maybe you might just humor me and play along?

when you get your trades into a position where you are ready to begin closing something...

resize your terminal, like mine, above, so the image fits nicely on this forum page.

open up the terminal that shows your currently open trades, like mine, above.

take a snapshot of it all, like i did, above, post that image here and then describe how you want to proceed with the closing of said trades.

plz describe for me, specifically, how you wish to proceed with this situation.

i ask, not only because i am a bit unclear about how to proceed, but even if i understood precisely what you wanted to do at this stage of the game, tell me again, plz, just to clarify the issues.

take notice, mr plasmapants, how i am somewhat coarse and demanding, i believe this is something of an understatement, but also try to appreciate how absolutely focused i am on the issue of your reaching your desired destination. it is not my job as a software engineer to just simply churn out code.

it is my job to make sure that you arrive in disneyland, as you had requested.

ok, sir, the trades on the long side came into profit, as this image shows:

and then, i closed the longs that were in profit, which left me holding about a ten dollar profit, and then i closed the MOST UNPROFITABLE trade that was <=-10.00

is that where you want to go?

in case you are missing what i am doing here, the first issue to nail down, even prior to writiing the actual code, is to fully define the process, no matter how simple one might think that the process is or is not..

heres how it stands...

we got some buy trades above the pivot
some sell trades below the pivot.

the sells are going in to profit

(check to see if closing any no of sell trades will alow to close a buy trade)
start by closing the sell trades which are most in profit
keep closing until money ammount is >= the buy position giving least loss
close that buy position.

repeat until closing any number of sell positions will no longer allow u to close a buy position.

trades would be closed in order set 1, then set 2, then set 3.

i think that you have explained yourself just fine.

Are you looking for this to scale out of grid trading situations ?

Did you get the script you were looking for ? If not, I can do this very quickly.

I have not forgotten about the other task I am supposed to be working on for you. Sorry it is taking so long. I got pulled into another large scale project and I don't have a lot of time to devote these days. I can do this for you as an "apology" and to remain in (or return to) your good graces. :-)

But I don't want to step on any toes. If zzzero is working on this or you have already received it then I don't want to waste anybody's time.
