Where would I go to find an instructional course (preferably free) on how to go about coding some simple EAs in mt4? I have some experience coding in C++, so I know what I'm getting into. I have googled extensively and have found close to nothing about in-depth instruction on EA coding methods.

Any help in pointing me in the right direction (as well as any offers to code a simple EA for me) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I tried this earlier. Apparently the affiliate's license has expired and this course is no longer available.

Yep i got that too! As for the manuals, as well as codersguru explaing it, it's all jargon to someone never exposed to any computer language such as I!

Yes. Unfortunately, coding isn't just something you pick up. I took 2 years of classes on C++ and barely scratched the surface.

Oh really? Damn, I made the mistake that learning to code would be similar to picking up a foreign language ha, whereas it's truly much harder.

Well, you are learning a programming language the problem--at least for me--is that I don't have much trouble listening and speaking in a foreign language, but reading and writing is an entirely different story.

took me 4 months of learning mlq4 & c++ & debugging to produce a decent EA-I only had time and a small burning desire w/o any formal programming experience-used all the sources above as well. Now, it seems, I will spend the rest of my life improving it?

the site is 35 every 3 months, i used to get enough donations to cover the site, but now the site is dead
theres still about 1.5 months before the bill is due, maybe some1 will pay it, otherwise im turning the site into, i code for money
if i get enough customers il keep the site open, otherwise il close it

if some1 would like to copy the tutorial into a new thread here, thats fine with me

from the feedback i recieved, its the best tutorial ever
i tried to explain things in a non programmer way
trying to teach ppl how the brackets work

at 1 time i was gonna make a tutorial here, but i know itl just get lost in the many threads, this place is just to big
it would realy need to be a sticky

i might would make 1 here if i new it would stay active and useable

There's a wiki I'm trying to put together http://forex.offers4u.biz/wiki And I'll start adding EAs and their descriptions once I get back to school.

fxinstructor.com offers a 7-day crash course on MQL4 - http://www.fxinstructor.com/eng/courses/mql7days.php . I'm currently an instructor / developer there.

Thats a crash course aimed primarily towards building a strong MQL4 foundation. Let me know anyone from here would be interested in it. I can arrange for bulk discounts if there are good numbers.
