wondering if anybody is having the same problems, these few days I've been having trouble placing orders on the FXCM Trading Station, it will not allow me to place a market order, keep returning the message that "Order ##### rejected" "Your order ##### could not be executed (/)"

without giving reasons, the market did not move, I've tried having slippage of 1-2 pips, but it still won't let me put the order in, and I'm losing few very good opportunities, although I have another broker which I entered another trade instead, but the spreads are much wider, but I want to know the real story, if my trades are being rejected because they're potential winning trades? And FXCM is cheating on me again? I will record and upload videos if this continues to happen to me again...

but in the mean time, just want to know if anybody is having the same problem?

hi dragoncat,

Without seeing the ticket details, I would assume it was rejected if market range was used as the order type and the available market price was outside of the range by the time it reached the banks. But that is speculation. I can have it investigated if you private message me.

previously when the market moved outside the range, the message "Market Moved" will always be returned, but not in these instances...

I have tried to enter the market not less than 20 times with the same messages as posted, anyway, I haven't traded with FXCM these few days, as I said, I'll have it record by video if it happens again then I'll let you investigate, in the mean time, good opportunities are too good to be missed especially market is moving very quickly these few days and I don't want to risk anything yet!

hi dragoncat,

I'm a representative for FXCM. Please feel free to private message me if you would like to have a trade audit opened for this. We can typically find rejected orders to investigate why they were rejected.

Hi, I have the same problem on both a USD and a EUR account at FXCM UK since June 29th. We have had a variety of Rejections, execution delays and only a few would indicate market moved. We have been working on this issue with our FXCM rep but are nowhere yet. This idle time costs us money.

hi Dna,

Did you have a trade audit opened to have the tickets reviewed? Please contact me and I can have this looked into for you.

I used to get the same messages sometimes with different unbelieveable reasons long time ago when I used to trade with a market maker. I never seen anything like those msgs after I changed to an ECN broker.

To update on the outcome. The program connecting to our system through our API was sending orders as market range instead of at best and the order was being rejected due to market movement.

FXCM traders are able to create two market order types: Market Range and At Best. At Best will always be executed; however, there could be slippage. Market Range allows you to set a range of acceptable slippage (if any), but it could mean the order is rejected if it cannot be filled.

We are always happy to look into problems to investigate and resolve.

You guys are wasting your time with FXCM. It's an old problem. They will investigate and nothing meaningful will come out of it. They just don't fill in fast markets. And even in normal market you may not get a fill unless you allow for some slippage. It's their way to earn that extra pip.

I agree-this same old problem has existed with this Broker going back to 2005 at least. These are show stopping problems that I dont experience with my present broker. Sure does make u wonder what's going on behind the scenes?

Find an edge. Snatch the advantage from your opponent. Stack the odds in your favour. Trade only when there is an overwhelming chance that you will win.(wise words few Forex traders heed.)

Hi Pipstar,

FXCM doesn't earn extra pips when an order is slipped. FXCM is making money through a pip mark-up on the spread. That mark-up is the same regardless of the amount of slippage that occurs. The price an order is filled at is determined by the prices and liquidity pool made available from the banks. The execution risks and policies are outlined on our website here http://www.fxcm.com/execution-risks.jsp .

For trade investigations, we can make an adjustment if there was a technical issue with the execution of the trade. However, slippage can occur and it is not unique to the forex market.
