The Koala had a W O N D E R F U L week

i hope all have gained quite a number of pips.

All the circle areas are signals that garnered at least 100 pips or so if you had proper stop loses and trailing stop loses.

The smiley signal was the best ! Woah

However, my observations remain that during quick moving markets like this week, it is important to check the M5 for sharp movements that are retracing.

We do not want to enter at extremes.

Do rate my humble thread if you like the system.

If you have any questions, please feel free to post. I will try my very best to help!

If you have constructive criticisms, you are most welcome too

I hope next week will be an even better one.

Cheers ~ ~

p/s the extra MA is an EMA. i am trying out as suggested by folks how the 200 EMA will help thanks for suggestions. you know who u r !

been following the thread.
nice simple pa strategy.
will demo it Monday using 5 min..
and then on to micro live if it goes well.
have added a 20 ma and a 200 ema. The 200 keeps me oriented for general trend and it also acts a strong support and resistance.
will follow pivot points as they are like magnets for price action.
will consider entering a trade after 20 ma has been crossed both by price action and by all three mas, 3,6,9..
entry order just above close for long and vice versa short.
trade 2 lots
10 pip min stop loss both lots, with 10 pip first target (or 1:1 risk reward ratio if stop loss is larger)
when 1st target hits, move to break even for 2nd lot.
trail stop just under the 20 ma.
try to capture the benefit of hi probability with the 1st target and hi profitability with the second while eliminating risk altogether.
That's the plan.

Pretty good week for the Koala System.

2 circles are perfect setups with lots of pips to be collected.

Am still trying to find out how can we identify trends faster.

M30 is sometimes too late to catch the party.

Let me know if you are enjoying success from this .. happy folks make me happy too !

This week presented with a few small opportunities and 2 major ones.

Folks who grabbed the major ones, i am sure you are partying right?

2 observations, the 200EMA seems to affect the PA at times. Take a close look. It did function as a S / R at times and the closing for the week was right around there.

Thanks for this wonderful suggestion. You know who you are

The next observation i made was trades taken when Koala is diverging may end up a losing one as a retracement may come.

Right now, a perfect parallel Koala seems like the best chance.

Have not been hearing from the regular folks. Are you all still around?

Hope to hear from more folks.

Cheers.

There was 1 good trade this week identified by the Koala.

That trade ( circled ) below will result in at least 100 pips gain

Did you catch it?

On a side note, i noticed that pivots are rather predictive sometimes. Look at the last day on my chart and how it plays with the pivot...

Furthermore, i find m30 increasingly lagged. May go back to M15 roots. Will research on this the coming week.

Have not been hearing much these days. Regulars are you still around ?

Knock knock? Is anyone out there?

Its a month since anyone spoke !!! Too busy making pips i hope.. Would really love to hear success stories.. or anyone who needs help can post too...

this system needs everyone's input !

I will use this week to remind folks that the Koala DOES NOT LIKE a ranging market.

I have boxed it red where by it is a signal by Koala to STAY OUT.

Remember? Koala is a system to minimize your loss. To put positions in potentially right directions.

On a side note, the 200SMA is doing well on M30. Circled 3 portions where it served as a support!

The Koala system had a good week.

There was a big drop and climb within the week.

Had circled good entries on the chart.

However we had ranging conditions too which i marked on the chart with a rectangle.

If you find yourself losing too much for comfort, i advise having proper money management. You can read my article about it here.

This week is not a very good week for Koala as it is ranging most of the days.

Besides, NFP to me is a no trade zone. Have boxed the no trade areas.

However we did have 2 potential good entries and the first one would have bag you quite a number of pips!

Towards the end of the week, 200 SMA was the support for the price until NFP broke it.

Anyone using the Koala? Share your views ya?

This week was an ok week for the Koala System as we had 3 good opportunities for position opening ( circled ).

The system identified 2 main no trade zones ( boxed ) and i will once again like to remind all that Koala is meant to identify the best chances for winning positions and hence if a no trade zone is identified, chances are if you insist, it will be extremely risky.

It is interested to note that the week ended almost at no gain or loss. This indicate market uncertainty.

This week presented to us a good opportunity at the start.

Followed by a few small takings.

I have circled these.

However if you notice those boxed area, these are area of
fast movement and i will not recommend going into these
as it will be more of a gamble that it doesn't turn against you next.

If you really need to do it, it is advisable you drop to M15 instead to get in earlier, maximizing your chances.

Do note that M15 will be more prone to false signals!

Trade safe

1) Introduction

Hi all,

to set the records right, i am a lousy trader.
I open trades at wrong time and watch winning trades turn on me to hit SL.http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_9gn6KLa5xt...oalaAlbino.jpg
I want to believe like all of you that forex works.

My idea of the koala system came when i was searching for no brainer ways to "trade"...

Okay, I think it's time you stepped it up a notch and begin to track some entry/exits.
Just for the sake of evaluating the method. Of course everyone's mileage will vary,
but just to get an idea what it's worth. When looking at in black and white,
over a nice stretch of time, I think such a compilation will have value.

This is especially true for those who might take one look at 3 moving averages
and a picture of a koala bear and go,"..hey, I don't do MA's..no thanks".

Even I'm not a big fan of MA's in and of themselves. However, the way your method is constructed
and if you spend some time with it, it can be and does have value because
I've seen it work.

It's up to each operator how to implement the strategy. Everyone will get different results I'm sure.

But back to results. Again, I'm just suggesting compiling some data on how the strategy performed over time.

I'd volunteer, but my time is rather limited lately and such tasks tend to
cut into my beer drinking and screwing around time at FF.
