Hi Guys,

i studied this thread about month ago and i am using indi named Basket profit 2 pairs sg last version from 13th march. Is there any smart programmer who know to add alert (email) to this indicator where the main curve cross the high or low deviation line ?
This is the superbly idea how to trade without big risk.

Roje when you say the main curve do you mean the 100EMA?

When you say the high or low deviation do you mean deviation -1 & 1 or -2 & -2?
Blindly following others will make you blind!

Yes, 100EMA cross -2 and 2 deviation, and if it could be possible to set up it after closing bar.

Just to make sure i understand you correctly.

You want the alert when the bar close if the conditions are met right?

Correct. I have more one idea - alert when ema cross +2 deviation from low and from high too. So two conditions optionally.

Who has the appropriate setting for the EA HedgeEA_v6.6
or perhaps a newer version.
Can anyone help me with that.
The EA works quite well in 2011 but could be better.

Hi,

I did not know about this EA. Can you share it, please?

Thanks,

Y.

George,

all EAs mentioned in the summary are out of this thread - I have no others. If you still have problems, try to use one of the templates and check, if there possibly is anything, you haven't in your chart yet. But seems, now it's working after filling the currency

Roje, the 100EMA will never cross the diviation curves. I guess you mean when the zig-zag yellow line is below the -2 and above -2, then you want the alert, correct?

And then you want the alert to tell you if it's from low or if it's from high right?

Hi everybody and thank you for your great work!

I'm trying to understand this method, but I have some difficult in adding to it some money management consideration.

I usually risk 1% of my (demo) account every trade. So, I have 2 doubts:

1. where I put my stops in these kind of trades? I could place the stops on each of the legs to obtain a total potential loss of 1% of the account. Do you agree?

2. If I accept a max potential loss at 1% of the account, I would trade only if I can expect a potential gain of minimum 1.5% (if not greater). So, the question is: when the difference line retun to level 50 or 20, can I obtain these kind of gain or not?

I make this question because today I tried the system going Long EURUSD and Short USDCHF. All trades are winning, but the % of win on the account is tiny. So I think that this system could have a risk/reward not so big, and the average loss could be greater than the average win.

I hope it is clear, sorry for my bad english.
What do you think about these considerations?

Hi Operigote,

right now I tested 5 minutes, next hour 15 minutes.. and so on, quite good results ! (at least on 5 minutes)

There is no maximum number of charts (theoretically). May be this helps you:
I have an EA where I need(ed) 19 charts...works fine, no crash.

Yes and No. I guess you need an Identification (magic number or sth. like this). My programmer had to implement this, else metatrader don't know which lot to close, sorry.

Ok, here's a hint for you for using diff. settings for stochastic: 80%/20% is fine...

Lots of people...

This ea work great but sometime dont close the second pair

Someone can fix this problem?

Sometimes I use also the Overlay Chart and if stoch and Charts show the gap I open trade

It's only in an EA you can control with the thing after it closing bar, it doesn't work in an indicator. I saw that in another forum.

And I cannot get the alert thing to work and i'm short in time at the moment, hope there is one in here that can help you out with the email alert.

Hi smjones

Thanks for sharing your knowledge in this thread. I was wondering if the "Stochastic different pairs 1.6.mq4 " indicator is also available in "lua" format?

Regards,

This is the most robust version yet. It has a one dimensional array that places Global variables on to the hard drive so it will not forget where it was in the Alert Sequence for all pairs. It has a Correlation message that you can turn on or off.

Greetings all,

I have not been on this thread in some time. Due to nobody's fault, this thread got somewhat bloated and convoluted, and because of that I lost focus. In other words, I could no longer see the forest (successful forex trading) for the trees (numerous indicators, methods, EA's, differing viewpoints, etc.) with this method.

However, a friend (only1Kader) contacted me recently and told me how he had doubled several live accounts with this method, and it got me rethinking it. Now, after having reviewed the original method, the "K.I.S.S." method recorded on the very first page, I reexamined this method with fresh eyes and have come to the conclusion that the method as originally presented has merit.

I have decided to continue to trade this method live, exactly as presented on page 1, with one small variation: I'm now looking for "hooks" to trade (see attachment). This means that when the "difference" takes a trip above 80 percent we wait for it to close above 80 and begin a trip back home, thereby forming a "hook". We then open our positions at that point.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so you'll see the hook in the picture. Either one/both of these trades could have been taken profitably.

So I am back with this method and open to any thoughts you might have about it as well. I'm hoping we can keep the "bloat" (extraneous different methods/indicators/EAs, etc.) to a minimum and just focus on the method itself. After all, our objective is to make money trading the forex market. I had lost focus on that for a while, but have returned now.

Today I took two trades, which had nice looking "hooks", for a total profit of 15 pips, or .5 % of my account. The trades were:

EUR/NZD Sell
USD/CAD Buy

and

GBP/USD Sell
NZD/JPY Buy

Hello again Dreamliner .... I just read much of your thread ... excellent job .... it is really relaxing to see a system where we dont need to worry about news, patterns, PA, and all that .... ... but really it was dispersed by the amount of EA's and indicators ... but even so all those interested contributed a lot ....
I sent you a message today, and I'm trying to mix it with yours and see if i can get something constructive .... surely notice you ....
I would like to ask you which couple of pairs do you use, this saves a lot of research for new readers , since it is starting over, and probably this information will help those guys a lot, and me of course ....
Another thing ... how many wins against the losses you had? you still use 50% as SL?
Count me in .... regards

is this the right indicators?? witch one is for overlay?
