Many of us are listing our favorite books in our profiles. But I would like traders to elaborate on books you recommend.

By doing this, I'm hoping to expand my own knowledge and help others do the same. I want this thread to be more than a "read this" thing. There is a reason why I have read certain books as I'm sure you do and would like to know what that is. Some of the books I have read so far are.

Currency Trading for Dummies. I find no shame in having a "For Dummies" book. We all where newcomers at one point and it helps me review the basics.

Trading in the Zone: Master the Market with Confidence, Discipline and a Winning Attitude by Mark Douglas. Because an attitude adjustment is needed every now and again.

Crash Proof: How to Profit from the Coming Economic Collapse by Peter Schiff. Possibly the ultimate contrarian investment specialist. This book provides a common sense approach on how to CYA in harsh economic times.

The little book of Bull Moves in Bear Markets by Peter Schiff. I see it as an update and a continuation of Crash Proof.

Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life by Alice Schroeder.

This is the biography of Omaha's finest. "Snowball" is not a "how to" book. I am not becoming Buffett as a result of reading this book but it helped me better understand one of the world's most powerful men frame of mind and his methodology.

What are your favorite books and why?

During my first few months of trading the only books I bought and read was books on indicators. Matter of fact I have tons of those hardcopies & e-books. There was a time that my chart was loaded with indicators that it looked gibberish and I lost my way in trading, and effectively put a big hole in my account.
Put a stop to trading for a while, revert back to demo and went out and got myself books which emphasized mainly on the psychological side of trading. This had made a huge difference in my trading.

I have read 2 books that had changed my trading ways.

1. Ultimate trading systems by David Jenyns. I love the exercises provided in this book.

2. Trading for a living by Dr. Alexander Elder. This book had a big impact on my trading. It really had opened my eyes on trading and made me realized how my mistakes from the past were almost entirely psychological and the indicators had very little bearing to my losses. I highly recommend this book.

I have e-books for this two titles & I'll be happy to share it with anyone who is interested. Just pm me if you need it.
I will also post up the titles that I have on the technical side of trading, I will put it up here later for anyone who is interested. Is that ok with you Jay?
Thank You

Thanks for your contribution. With regards to your last post, that's quite an extensive list but I would appreciate if you could elaborate even if it was just a little bit on what the books are about.

Sometimes, the title doesn't do justice to the work.

Jay : your welcome sir. The second list are not by any means my favourite books or one that had changed my trading perspective. Welp, except for "money management by ryan jones" & " currency trading for dummies ". I'm putting the list up just in case there's anyone interested with the books, I'd be happy to just let them have it. But, I will try to elaborate on the list a bit more if it's going to help.

Have a good weekend jay & to others as well. I know I will
Cheers
Thank You
