Bonjour à tous

I'd like to share another simple method with you and based on CCI divergence

CCI 10 (Typical price HLC/3)
TF 5mn
The CCI divergence must be beyond of 100/-100

You sell the divergence when the closed candle is below the CCI line 100
Stoploss placed on the last more high
Profit on TP or trailing stop.

You buy the divergence when the closed candle is above the CCI line -100
Stoploss placed on the last more low
Profit on TP or trailing stop.

This method is not perfect so take care.

i do trade CCI divergences for a long time now , they do work , i dont know about it on 5 min charts , but on longer time frame 30 min, H1, H4, D , they do work and very profitable if combined with PA for identifying levels of entry.
you are on the right track.

i see you are interested in CCI
look at the woodie CCI systems , it has patterns which let you identify patterns there, if you combine those things with PA.
but dont use it as trigger , just as confirmation only , dont enter it blindly or you will get burned,
good luck

Arthur

Salut plasvegas

Non désolé, j'ai tracé ces lignes manuellement mais un indicateur de divergence basé sur le CCI doit bien être disponible sur ce forum.
Personnellement, je préfère repérer les divergences visuellement mais pourquoi pas !!

Only looking for divergence on a chart is a very hard way to trade, you becomes a slave to divergence.Divergence causes you to cut your profits short, markets runs on momentun and momentun do not stop just so.
My simple set up I put a 5 sma on a 20 cci with a zero line, and just trade the cross, you can use any ema as filter.Time is to precious for me to just wait on divergences.

Hello Lessformore

I agree with you about the precious time but the CCI Divergence is a complementary method to other methods.
I am not a slave of this technical and with the experience it is not difficult to see a divergence then when I see one on my chart, I analyze and opens a position or not.
I personnally use several methods of trading and none of these methods are perfect.
Thanks for your set up

Thierry, the key to divergence is when to enter, if at all. CCI set at 10 with confirmation of -100 or +100 has a great deal of accuracy. Thanks

hi thierry,
i really like the setup, but could u be more specific when should we take our profit. From the pic i know that u're using pivot line as a tp , but if we consider the movement of cci, i think it would better we stop at s1 instead of s2.
Or do u have any other indi as a filter for this setup?
Just curious ...thanks
