Shall we challenge him to a trading contest?

The way the Risk Engine affects your outcome isn’t so easy to understand. I’ve read through all the docs and watched some videos provided by Darwinex, explaining the calculations and formulas behind it but it’s still rather unclear to me.

The main factors seem to be leverage, underlying volatility, time of the day, duration of your orders.

How you control risk in your signal account in particularly if using a percentage based risk calculations in relevance to your account‘s balance and stop loss distances doesn’t seem to play any role at all.

Lol so true about this guy. He has been trading for 20 years, long and deep. I've been in it for 42 years and I don't throw it around...except I just did

it's all about the Var, keep it steady and under 6.5% and the risk engine will not hurt you.

That is correct, risk in terms of stop loss is irrelevant....it is indeed volitility of the asset, exposure (size) and duration.
I DCA on my swing account often, so my actual TRADES are small and will make up a bigger POSITION, so my scaling in/out is already figured in to my max exposure.
On my day trading futures account, it's 2 MINIS on ES and YM, 1 mini on NQ and GC, if I add, it will have a tight leash on the addition.....futures is a 1 million signal account, so this is tiny in relation, but generates an average of 0.1-0.13% per day....2-2.5% monthly.

Don't even start me on that stuff. Lol
A few weeks back when you were looking to join dz, I wrote a long description of how things are in response. I deleted it shortly after cause I am a participant in dz and didn't want to diss them too much. Now you see for yourself. I quite enjoy your critical thinking approach to them. Most traders who are in your position right now don't dare say anything out of fear of being told it is their fault for not understanding things. Darwinex's approach is the same. It's always your problem that you don't understand. They are quite arrogant about it .
Anyways keep asking questions and criticize them all you want. It is about time they hear a thing or two negative about themselves.

No it's not about var. I have accounts with 3 to 5% var with under .50 multiplier that stay under for months with no improvements.

Here you go pip. This is from the same account I posted the charts from.
After my brief less than 5% dd in the underlying, Darwinex soured on me and never recovered.
Do you call this fair treatment?

ah come on.
i invest time to help .. and then this.

lets be realistic.... i know some texts are not possible to understand if you are not at a higher experience level sometimes or have already see it in practice (if you cant learn from secondar information's) ... but i cant always split it and write many texts for each level. if you dont know about different fill types (that even this is a part in a trading plan) and so on... all fine.....you can ignore this text... i only know it gets important for you when you get to higher AUM (if you believe it or not, different topic).

what would it bring when i prove you my wins .... what exactly? i dont sell something and i dont let other copy my trades or i dont speak about my trades - sometimes i dont know if it is worth to help people or not.

and i never belittling anyone. when i speak about small accounts i speak in the context of something... like small for get full fills for any strategy, small to live from it,..........

would my words be more worth when i would be famous and well known in trading industry and you would know this fact? or would it be more worth when the facts are correct?

OK. Fair enough.
However, in darwinex, my size that I trade WILL NEVER change on my signal account, actually one of things I love about it.......I believe they are somehow responsible for the fills on the back end.
If they need me to do something differently as far as chopping up a trade, once again, I believe that execution is on them.
With a Darwinex classic, it may be different.

You trade futures, right? Since they're standardized and you can't use a position size smaller than "1," a fixed position size obviously makes sense. Do you think that’s more likely to lead to an lower risk multiplier for the DARWIN instead of using a fixed lot size approach? If so, my approach of a risk management probably makes less sense here even while the signals account risk is actually managed properly (as far as stop losses are respected and no slippage etc.)

The futures account is a 1 million dollar signal account, so no need for micros or to break up into partials

Cheap bro......

fundingticks - 80$ for 50k n target is 2500$
futuresnext - 75$ for 25k

Tradeify, Topstep and Take Profit - for these expensive ones i need another payout to buy those.... But worry not i am going for the more secure firms now.... I dont have any more patience to take BS from these small firms...

Yes, that's my point....enough of the BS....you have a proven profitable business model, you know your pass rate and your payout rate.....
At this point, a few extra bucks to KNOW you're getting paid should be irrelevant.....just trying to help.

Yes, of course, but just because there are 1 million doesn't mean that you shouldn't have risk management. If you trade 1 contract and in one trade your stop/exit is at 10 points and in another trade you trade 1 contract where it would make more sense to stop at 30 points, in the latter case your loss would be 3 times greater if the trade does not work out for you.

In any case, I'm curious to see what kind of risk multiplier Darwinex will spit out for me with the variable position sizes I'm currently using. I could imagine that this has more of a negative effect. If so, I will trade the same strategy again with a second account with a small fixed position size and we would have a direct comparison. In any case, I think it would be stupid if that were the case because I don't like trading with fixed position sizes.

What OutThere is probably doing with "Martingale" and many simultaneous trades on many different markets also seems to be rather unsuitable for a constant/better risk multiplier, as this is rated as too high a risk by the risk engine.

As I said, one thing that completely turns me off about Darwinex is that without being able to predict exactly how you will get a certain risk multiplier (1:1 like in your signal account or better) you can't really expect anything in the future when it comes to your performance there, associated allocations, payouts, etc. It's basically a black box that you drive there.
