sounds good guys. sorry ive been away for a few days just relaxing but ill try to join u guys this week and possibly next week before university starts then my time will be very limited. i also wanna show you guys something interesting especially for people who dont have alot of time during the day to daytrade.

Hi,

I've been followng this thread quite while. Myabe I'll introduce myself more later.
Just this morning, while off work for a week, I took a short position in Eur$. Sold @ 1.3144. See red arrow. For me its a sell on 15M. Even so the 4H is turning to a sell. Should I already have close while the stochastic is turning in oversold? Feel free to comment on it.

I added a pic for testing upload and for comment on follow up. Should I have closed out?

even though the trade worked out, where u entered i wouldnt have taken the trade it wasnt the best setup but since u did u can get out when the stoch goes into oversold and u see some reversal bars and then u can reenter on the second trade. it depends on ur bias for the day and for example my bias was down for gbpusd so i entered and my stop was close to being hit so i made it a bit higher and then gbpusd dropped nicely. thats why i like to keep a bias for the day(by watching higher timeframes) coz i dont have to enter exit then enter exit again i can just enter and possibly add at a pullback and just let it ride.

I jumped on a brief +16 pips on £Yen and some pips and a brief short on €$ but no big move (there was big move but not shown with this strategy )

Hi guys, read through the posts, but confess that I am struggling with putting the concept into practice. Struggling to find any prospective trades today, but the nearest I can see is a possible short in NZDJPY, 1hr.


Could somebody kindly comment just so I know whether I am at least on the right track, if not at the right house yet!! Doesn't matter about timeframe, just want to 'see' if my intepretation is correct.

do not worry, exept the two trade i have taken, there is nothing much to do until now today, note that is a very situation as most of the time i have around 4 position open all the time with this strategy watching 13 pairs

I'm watching the USD/CHF one hour for a possible long. The 20 and the 50 are good distance from their signal lines, just waiting for confirmation from the 5.

I think I'm along the right lines, but it would be useful to see a 'live' or 'almost live' trade posted, just so I can see what all the potential song & dance is about. And more importantly, whether I have got the setups right. Then its down to my interpretation.

And many wars have started due to 'lost in translation'.

I hope to be speaking the right dialect of stochastic shortly!!

A live trade I just took.

Short eur/usd @ 1.3133 SL @1.3160 TP 1.3090

There is some resistance at 3129 that if taken out should run stops below 3120.

Was looking at that trade, but a couple of newbie observations have made the finger twitch, but not pull the trigger yet.

S1 @ 1.3127

Y'day low @1.3121

could both act as support IMHO. I guess it depends on how many pips you are after.

But the third point is perhaps the most impt-and I guess shows that there is much more for me to learn about trading; you are taking a 5 xover near to oversold levels (i.e. closer to 30 than 80-OK in the direction of the 20, 50 shorts) when historically, the pair has often bounced from there.

Please indicate (gently!) where I am going wrong.

I don't use daily pivots. I stick with weekly pivots. I haven't backtested which ones are better just what I use.

I don't think you are going wrong anywhere and I'm still new to this method myself so take my trades with a grain of salt. The 20 and the 50 are still above the 50 line so maybe there is more room to go.

I'm no pro at this method so take my advice with a grain of salt. What I'm saying above could be totally wrong.

Accept what you say about weekly pp, I am just aware that many 'pro' traders use intraday pp as well.

Interestingly (coincidence or otherwise) your target of 3090 is Fri low,and S3 (give or take a gnat's whatsit) today.

Guess all the action will be in the yen pairs tonight, so hold on to your hats!

Good luck with the trade either way.

I'll keep scrolling through the other pairs for a likely setup!
