i'm looking to download large quantity of recent, tick by tick major currency pairs data.

its easier to use dukascopy for the data though.

Try this site for free tick data back to 2009. Only 10 major currency pairs but the data is clean and has an interesting backtest program.

there are minutes and tick data for 30 symbols and 8 brokers.
also it is easy to import these data into MT4 terminal with the help of the program which they provide

Here is another source of tick data, from Integral, liquidity provider to a number of good brokers like FinFX, Axitrader, NordFX, FXDD, etc. Data starts in May 2009 and is GMT 0.
