Ok, I understand. It is really sad that MT4 / MQL is so limited. The only way that marker would work is still from live data and also the way for backtesting I described here, would you agree?

Then you should probably decide if it is worth coding it for the sah. I would still welcome that funtion especially to see for the day at what price the alarm appeared but it's up to you if it's worth the work. But thanks anyway for your effort!

OK, I looked at the code and thought about it and I realized that this isn't going to solve the backtesting problem. It's just going to duplicate it on the upper chart. The reason is this. This is how these indicators all work:

Let's say you have 2000 bars on the chart when you add the indicator. So it goes and calculates the values for all the existing 2000 bars on the chart first and then as each new bar is added it calcs a new value for each added bar as they happen.

So lets say you are watching the 5m trix in row 1 on the 1m chart for a...

1 - First red vertical line - Harmony with 1,5, and 15 min trixes. Fresh Rainbow flip, H&S formation previous, continuation with Thursday trend. Took with break of support. Easy +12

2 - Second red vertical line - This is my absolute favorite 1min setup. Notice how all the MA's grouped together in a volatility compression, and then unwound in the direction of the 1 and 5 min trend. It also broke 1.3300 level, had 1&5 min trix harmony, and 15 min fast trix in my favor. If you also look at other USD denomiated pairs (eg - AUDUSD and NZDUSD), they had the exact same trix harmony and MA compression/expansion at that time. These setups usually only occur once a day but are highly accurate. Another easy +12.

3 - Blue Vertical Bar - Passed on this setup. Although there was 1/5/15 min trix harmony, the pair had already moved over 60 pips in a short period of time, the 5 min trix was oversold, and on the verge of printing divergence. Even though this would have been a successful trade, I avoid these setups like the plague. You can't just wait for indicators to line up and hope to be successful without examining the waves, ADR, correlation, formations, S&R, divergence, etc. I only take at max the first 2 setups in move like this.

That wouldn't solve it either, if I understood you correctly, because there can be cases where all 5 or all 15 cubes (for example) can be the same color, because the trix (for example) really was red all the time or green all the time.

I really can't think of a decent way to solve this issue. I thought of having another indicator which called the SAH using the same parameters you had chosen for the SAH, and which put a line on the chart when it got a signal from it. This indicator would only collect data going forward in time. (++ instead of -- loop). But even that wouldn't work because if you did anything to initialize the chart or this new indicator (restarting MT4, changing tfs, etc.) then this indicator too would then erase all the forward data it had collected.

The only way to get around THAT would be to not have the indicator erase anything when it was initialized , which would make the charts extremely messy and pretty meaningless to deal with after one or two rounds of use. And, if you wanted to start fresh you'd have to erase everything manually.

And it would mean maintaining the second indicator's call to the SAH, each time I updated the SAH, and releasing a new version of it for each new version of the SAH. Since both parts would be very messy and complicated (the input and the output) I think it would generate a lot of questions, complaints and PMs from people who weren't using matching versions together or didn't understand why lines were left on the chart or didn't match the input of the two indicators correctly etc.

So all things considered that idea doesn't seem to be very practical and I can't think of any other solution at the moment.

There might be one other way to solve it which is to backtest using the mtf simulator that someone posted in this thread previously.

I have been trading this system for the last couple of months and I have to say that I have hit a 60% win rate with it and a reward:risk ratio of 4.1:1 which is pretty impressive. This is my first post here but Ill keep you all updated as time goes on. I definitely recommend this system.

Making a final copy.

This is a bug fix to V4.81, which replaces calls to THV Help1 with calls to THV3 Coral new [email protected] For anyone who was having problems loading the indicator when it used type 55 in the previous version, this should fix the problem. You will need to download the new helper indie THV3 Coral new [email protected]

Etypes are the same as v 4.81 There is one thing to note about this use of the coral, which is that I can't determine when it is yellow on the screen. So it is either red or green and the yellow (or absence of color) condition in...

Please post a screen shot showing

1) your indicators list
2) a screenshot which shows the text of the SAH on the right hand side.

Also please post the images to the forex factory site and not

I haven't posted any rules for the SAH. This is on purpose for several reasons:

1) It isn't really part of THV since it includes other indicators. This is because a lot of people have their own favorite indicator that they like to use in addition to the standard THV (like the ADX or stochastics) and many have asked me to include these in the SAH so they can get alarms and emails when these give a signal that concurs with THV. Or they have a favorite way to trade THV which isn't part of the standard method, like entering only when the slow trix is above below zero and they wanted alarms.

2) I didn't provide settings because I wanted to encourage other people to share their ideas.

A few people have been kind enough to share their settings for it, like toafdawg and neild1971 and if you look in their posts I think you will find some templates.

Hello, Miss Pips.

Thanks, very much. That's what I guessed because of the ifx logo in the SAH
window where it isnt supposted to be. My idea is to check what
happens if you put the SAH window somewhere else -i.e when it is
not in the bottommost window.

Not at all. Thank you for the wonderful indi.

Hey MissPips...question. I really like the rainbow setup of the moving averages. It really helps me see the trends and what is going on. I was wondering if there is an alert already made or if one could even be made to go off when all the moving averages lines up. That would really help with cutting down on time in front of the screen. Think of my eyes! Then when an alert goes off you will know that a trend is potentially going on and can wait for a pullback within that trend to make your trade.

Hi Carson,

Seller9 posted one a while back. I did try to put one in the SAH but because of the large number of MAs it made the SAH infernally slow. So I removed it. Seller9 reported the same problem if I'm not mistaken. You can use type 31, 32 or type 24 in the SAH as a decent proxy
