If you look at the PDF on the first post of the thread, reference is made (on page 17) to the "ma at 1.00 and 5.00" type trade. Or refer to the original posting 332 where there is a chart with a clock insert providing the visualisation of the 1 'o'clock, 5 'o'clock reference.
Still new at this myself but the clock reference is just to give you a general idea of the angle of the ma's. EO's method of trading the price under these circumstances can then be applied.
Sorry if I've gone over stuff you already knew (if you were looking for more detail then perhaps one of the regulars will provide it)
