Disliked{quote} Congratulations josh1111! You are doing a geat job, remember that practice makes master Maybe 1 lot is too much for a 10K account, the KoF uses 1 lot for a 100K account. A safe rule of thumb is using 0.01 per 1K 2K = 0.02 5K = 0.05 10K = 0.1 30K = 0.3 35K = 0.35 100K = 1 Also, remember that tick values are different for each instrument.Ignored
Disliked{quote} This i would take in account if i can this trade safe. If i start trading this way, better shorten the lot and have more room if i trade to fast.Ignored
Disliked{quote} You can also use the +0.01 lots per 1000$ rule for compunding. Niks is increasing his position sizing this way as his account grows: {image} It's barely noticeable right now, but if he keeps increasing his lot sizes and performance stays the same he will go parabolic sooner or later.Ignored
Disliked{quote} This is a way and as many in life it depends on that what are be want to achieve. If i start with a small account it is good to build it it slowly and increase the lot if it is more in "calm" water. Means if i increase every 1000 in the same way, i have ever to look same way on my margin. What if i increase not that much and build another szenario. Start with 1000 and 0.01 (risky one!) 2000 normal you would use 0.02 but if you not increase 3000 normal you would have 0.03 but if you not increase 4000 normal you would use 0.04 but what if...Ignored
Disliked{quote} thanks for the feedback, yes, most certainly using the original without variation other than having to be a lot less aggressive due to very restrictive leverage of 30:1, so i'm unable to work out of a tough trend at the pace i'd like, ideally within a couple of hours, i've had to accept it will always take a lot longer, i was also trying to get into one to demonstrate how i would handle it, so here it is timing of orders and leaving gaps for risk management requires development, the initial gaps look close relative to the large swing but...Ignored
DislikedI want to add something else that may help some of you guys. Take or leave it. If you are shooting for taking profits at the 20 EMA instead of placing a take profit line at the 20 EMA, setup up the MT4 Trade Assistant EA to place a Trailing Stop Loss at the 20 EMA. This will give you your take profit no matter what but if the price keeps going in your direction you can reap all of the additional profits with no extra risk.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hey josh1111, can you please tell me where to find the MT4 Trade Assistant EA?Ignored
DislikedI survived this trade ,was wrong and cannot monitor more right now, overall plan was target green ema, than if not in profit blue one, than if not in profit magenta ,and I start building it, closed on first ema 100.Was better plan to target ema 50 and close, but I was thinking price will fall ,was wrong so menage to close now with small profiteer depends on situation with small loss {image} {image} {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi charli86! You made very nice entries. I don't think that the timing or exit is a problem in this case, however the spread may be a bit too high to make fast exits feasible.Ignored
DislikedAbade that observation you made on 50ema is Powerful. M1 - price must touch the 50ema…….. has to touch this is important. wait for RSI overbought/Oversold wait for candle to confirm. been looking on all pairs and it is a really good filter futhermore these set ups go to the 50 ema easyIgnored
