I do the SP500 - MES - futures different than the currencies. For one, I am looking at a window of about 3 hours. I will go longer if PA is acting how I like. It needs to be fairly clean in its "cycles". My time (-1 from NY) is 9:30 to around noon. With my entry system refined I am ready to turn this into a full business. Good luck.

The main difference is the futures I trade are the index micro futures. Theoretically I am trading a wighted basket of 503 stocks. In reality it is more Microsoft or Apple. They move mostly in tandem with one controlling the SP500 and the other controlling the Nasdaq100.
That is a brief on the futures. Most know currencies.

Currencies are more flexible in size and space you are willing to allow a trade to run.

Futures, for me require more precision. That is what a lot of my work has been focused on.
Futures often move, for lack of a better description, in a "cleaner" manner.

Bang for your buck - learn to trade the indices and open a discount futures account.

The close Friday was 4009.75 making one micro contract worth $20,478 that you control for $40.
Each point = $5 per contract.

Futures will eat you for lunch if you are not prepared.

If you had the foresight to enter long once beyond the 50% level Friday and run it to the end was $235 per contract. An OK amount.
To get that same return trading the UCad requires one full lot going 32 pips.

Going to sound like an infomercial ...

Theoretically, using my entry system and trading from my start window to mt end of day close point - about 5 hours of time, resulted in 7 entries. Again theoretically, if you managed those trades to around 80 to 85 % completion would net a potential of 72 points. Per 1 contract comes to $360. Once you are convinced of the efficacy of this system you would naturally increase the size of your trade.

Then get you confidence and account up to e-mini size and we are talking cha-ching. That $360 becomes $1800 per 1 contract.

I look to trade this just as I do the currencies, the M15 cycle within the H1 cycle using the M1 as the entry and the Kijuns as my momentum guage. It really is simpler than it sounds.

I don't trade and post simultaneously very well at all. I tend to be more linear in my approach to tasks. When I do post I am not trading serious at that moment, which is a bad habit. The couple times I tried to post seriously on live trade it was not very clear. Impossible to put the entire thought process coherently when it often is only a small amount of time. Can't type that fast. So I will continue to use "ye olde hindsight" method to convey my thoughts.

The session boxes on any charts I post may or may not be at the correct time.

Should be able to go back to the "normal" template today. Need to mark these last two weeks as the transition of daylight waste time. Not sure about the Asia box though. This also makes all boxes that go back in time off. I really loathe this. Thanks for nothing Germany - they are the ones who brought this idiocy on us. 30 April 1916 was the first gov mandated change.

Thinking Monday, overall, will be sideways to up. A lot depends on who is ahead in the BOJ v Fed war. Here is how the week ended.

Tomorrow I'll be watching USD/CHF (FGD on Friday), AUD/USD (FRD on Friday), and GBP/USD (FRD on Friday). I like USD/JPY a lot, watching to see if Monday closes as FGD or not.
Take the easy ones, and don't do anything stupid in the meantime.

UJ being the driver of the Yen crosses look at the bigger picture. This may be the end of a larger 3 push move down.

UChf FGD + BO

AudU Thursday could have been what Burke calls a sneaky FRD Technically it closed up, but it set up the down day Friday. Another commodity pair that created both a high and low for the week the last 2 days

GU FRD + BO Thursday for all intents and purposes was an Inside Day. They do that little poke above or below previous day as a sneak play imo

Another feasible scenario would be a "stop hunt" to that rectangle then continue down.

Both possibilities are viable imo.

The EU & UK actually voted to scrap DST, to be implemented in 2021 but somehow no-one has followed through with it.

UK opting to stay at DST (GMT+1), but I expect apart from trying to disagree with Brussels all the time, I expect the financial sector wanted to keep the 1 hour difference between Franky & London, probably so the shenigans they do befoer London Open can be hidden.

The UK did scrap DST between 1968 - 1971, opting to stay at GMT+1 but there were a lot of accidents during winter months, in the early morning, as it was still dark during rush hour., and extra worse with fog.

I am old enough to remember this period.

I'm 43% of the way through Stacey Burke's online course, and have read the entire playbook. It's the only course I've ever bought and it's pretty good. I've learned a lot so far, concepts that I can incorporate into my trading in order to make improvements. The day count is confusing, but the weekly template makes sense, as do the setups, entries, and other concepts like first green day and first red day. I think this is going to help as an additional way to filter trade ideas so I'm only taking the really juicy ones. My aim is to only make two or three solid trades a week, which is totally doable.

That is the key and if you go from the weekly template with the other stuff it can change things a lot.

I would say that looks good. My interpretations are often loose. Yours, however, look spot on. Some of these pairs tend to be more subtle in their hints.
