Well, I think that was a pretty ingenious way to plot the VS. Thanks for posting it.

I changed the 4 ema to 7 ema as it smooths things out a bit better. But it's always a game of "give and take" with the VS when you change length of the ema.

Thank you RH it means a lot and I'm glad I can help.

I really like that new change.

Also I was wondering something - I came back to the forex charts and I'm much more used to the EMAs and RHO.

This is the current layout I use and I only intend to day trade the SPX500 for now.

I don't know if you still prefer the original method of your thread but what are your thoughts on this?

I have not made any Forex trades for I can't remember how long because I have been devoting all of my time and energy to trading stocks.

I cannot day trade the SPX500 even if I wanted to because it is not available to me on my platform but your set up looks good to me.

As far as my original method goes vs. this one, I have never compared this new way to that way so I can't intelligently comment on it.

I have been getting tired of day trading (mostly scalping) the big tech stocks like AMZN, META, GOOG, etc. because they have become so erractic, so I made a change to trade less volatile stocks.

I went through all 30 stocks in the Dow Jones 30 (DJ-30) and narrowed them down to only 2 stocks to day trade and/or scalp), and because I lose focus if I have more than 2 on my screen at the same time.

JNJ and CVX. I like how those 2 typically move intraday the best of the 30.

I changed the 4 ema to 1 and I am trading 1 minute charts. There's more to it all than that but I'll save it for another time to explain.

Do the above on JNJ and CVX for today and see what I see (taking only the 2 VS lines crossing into consideration).

* Time of day to trade is also a VERY IMPORTANT thing in day trading for me. I don't typically trade the last 1/2 hour to an hour before the close (depending on what the chart looks like).
