EU Gave me this scalp, so after offering buyside oportunities, I am less receptive to shorting opportunities. Meaning, I will not take any level on the short side unless strong PA confirms it.

You are right. Using LTF price action to confirm HTF levels will statistically result in higher win rate for any method or strategy. But people are free to trade in a manner they are most comfortable with. For most people I think it is impatience and the 'fear' of missing the trade that stops them from looking for LTF confirmation before placing their trades.

For me BOS is just price making a HH or LL into a weak area or free space (not strong demand/supply), as long as this HH or LL does not look like a stop hunt. It is important that after a BOS or the LTF TL breakout, price is retracing to a strong zone before the main move.

I usually take trades after I see strong moves into my entry zone. Check posts 384 and 208 for more on this.

Thank you for you replies which make perfect sense. Same rejection methodology but using different terminology - just wanted to double check.

I agree that the higher level was likely to produce a reaction. The lower M30 SR level should have led to a move lower and didn't which was a bit strange but, as you say, the CAD rate decision might have been the driver.
Is this like a break and retest strategy
Looks like a good short opportunity is just about to come on S&P.
