They did t change commission unless you're a US citizen and can change the option in your back office. It's like .05 USD per side for every .01 lot

The spreads don't change much during news from what I've seen

Oanda is weak as fuck right now. Exploit them and you'll gain some pips.

Talked to them. They apologize and have server problems... since 10 hours now. I really hope that is a huge exception. Never had problems with them.

OANDA, Please stop activating the "Auto Save Profile" option on each update. It's really annoying! Thanks.

Hi zOrO2kX,

Thanks for your feedback! I've sent this to our developer's team.

if you choose the commission option the spread gets lower but you will also pay the commission vs paying spread only and of course the spread is higher

Hi militrader,

First, thanks @hazelj80 for replying to this before I did - we really appreciate it! And what hazelj80 said is right: instead of the regular spread, the core pricing option charges 1 pip less in the spread, but charges the same amount in the form of a commission.

The benefit of core pricing of a lower spread is that the take profit will be 0.5 a PIP more likely to trigger, and the stoploss will be 0.5 pip less likely to be taken out.

All information can be found here: https://www.oanda.com/us-en/trading/our-pricing/

Hope that makes sense.

Ton O.

Hi, a couple of questions.

1. Is the fxtrade mobile platform optimized for android tablet. I am concerned about the larger screen size may not work well.

2. The notification in the app does not seem to work. No notification on trades or price signals. I checked my notifications settings they seem ok. Am I missing something ?

Thank you

Will the core pricing option, with tighter spreads remain constant through the weekend or will Oanda also spike the spread (sometimes tenfold I've seen) on the weekends like on the spread option?
Thanks in advance.

Doesn't it all come down to the same thing?
If i pay 1 pip in commission, yes its true that 1pip smaller spread will positively affect TP and SL by 0.5pip as you say.
But if i don't pay 1 pip in commission, money i saved can be used to move away Sl by 0.5 pip and TP to be closer by 0.5 pip and
the USD amount for my risk and profit will be equal.
Or to be more pedantic, account balance after a loss or profit in both scenarios will end up being the same.

Hi cuchuflito,

The core pricing spread will still be variable, although it is lower than the regular spread.

Thanks,
Ton O.

Hi aiyahmarklah,

The Fxtrade platform is available for tablets that run Android. Also, our team is aware of the notification not working properly for Android devices. It's something we are hoping to get it fixed soon.

Thanks,
Ton O.

Hi Ton O,

It's really great that you respond here. I am wondering if you can answer a question that I posted here since I mention Oanda:

https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...-forex-brokers

Also, do you require that I provide my bank credentials to a third party in order to withdraw funds?

Thank you.

Thanks.
Hope lower than this:

Check the difference between the weekend spread of Ic markets versus Oanda. (Ic Markets has zero spread if you pay commission).

AUDNZD Oanda: 21.7 (!!!)
AUDNZD Ic Markets: 3,7.

I donīt want to pester OANDA, but facts are facts.
If you trade :
D1, 240 or even 1 H, and keep your position through the weekend. Any spread over 20 is literally untradable.

Below is a screenshot of a few pairs, including majors.
9 out of 16 are more than 10 pips.
7 are more than 15.

Eurgbp is a whopping 8,5 (major pair right). (only 3 pips on IC Markets).

Also, I posted a cadjpy M5 with the spread lines.
Basically, Oanda is too expensive for day trading. Only very few pairs are tradable on higher TF, I mean very few.
And I am NOT advertising Ic Markets, there are simply no "innocent brokers" they are all after retailer meat.

And last but not least, to be fair, OANDA is the only broker offering unit trades, meaning you can adjust your stop loss risk to the cent (not counting weekend spread, slippage, etc.)
That is a huge plus.

Hi vbmark,

I've answered your question in the other thread. Regarding withdrawal - it depends on what form of withdrawal you will use, depending also where your account is based.

Hope that helps!
Ton O.

Thank you for your reply. Please do get it fixed soon. I think your disclaimer should read,

"Disclaimer: Leverage trading is high risk. Losses could exceed investment. Sometimes it can be due to crappy broker apps."

Hello traders!

I currently have Oanda credentials that will feed NinjaTrader. This is just a data feed, not associated with my live Oanda account.

I have been using this for a while with no issues.

My question, is are there any plans in the future to do what is necessary to allow TRADING through NinjaTrader with an Oanda account?
