Disliked{quote} I agree with this ENTIRE post 1000%. Those are my five as well. The other thing with Funded Trading Plus, when you scale, your DD stays the same as well....pass a 100K, have 10K DD, scale to 200K, you stay at 10K DD. I trade all of these firms based on DD allowed, so what is the point of scaling there, now instead of 10%DD you're at 5% DD???????WTF Football time.......Ignored
If I understood well:
1. Funded Trading Plus: if we manage a 100K for example and we make a 10% profit, we get x2 scale to 200K account and also eliminated the daily loss level.
Now because the stop out at 90K was increased to IB at 100K, now we get a 200K account with 10K profit with a balance of 210K
The situation now is that the total drawdown is not 10% like with 100K but 5% only (10K on a 200K account)
And that will be not possible to withdraw for example 5K or 10K because the drawdown will decrease to 2.5% or 0% terminating also the account.
Assuming this is correct I think that:
A. You should see the positive side of this, that they scaled your account x2 and not x0.25 like FTMO or others.
B. They do it with 10% profit, not with a 3M-4M timeframe like others.
C. That we can manage perfectly this risk of 5% simply working with the same sizes of the 100K account with a risk that can be 10% theorically and not 5%
till we make 5% profit on 200K account and we can stop to be worried about a 5% DD that at that point (220K balance) will be 10% again.
2. Other PROP are not doing like this? Many I contacted yes to ask about the trailing rules.
I think this is more an issue because of the best and fastest scaling plans that are x2 (100%).
So which are the prop firm that work in a different manner and how they work?
So what you are looking for is that with a 100K with 10K of profit (Balance 110K) scaled to 200K. (210K balance), they will give you not 5% DD but not from max
balance but from the new account size IB so basically a stop out at 190K and not at 200K.
Is this what you mean? Please make us an example of the prop firms what works like Funded Trading Plus, the way you dont like, and which and how, works in the way you like.
Again I think that the most of the issue is given from the high scale up of 100%, but, this is a good thing and you can manage the risk.

For who asked above: Don't confuse the % of profit to scale up, the Master program (5% stop out, instant funded) and the Experienced Program (very low 3% daily stop, 6 total stop, 1 step) they have as profit target 10%.
While the "Advanced program" (5% daily stop, 10% total stop, 2 steps) ahs 20% as profit target.
These targets can be done at anytime, no hurry like 30 days limit, or 3-4 months.
So basically for who was asking about the 3% daily stop.
That yes, is the most risky program just to get in 1 step to the 10% scaling plan.
So you have to do, 1 step evaluation with the stress of 3% daily stop, plus even funded... the same, so you have to make 20% profit with that stress to get rid of 3% loss. On my view it's better the instant. funded program where you earn from the day one... with 5% total stop that will increase you chance to don't fail and the first 10% profit target you will net 5500$ profit (10.000-4500 fee), while with the 1step program -1000$ not refundable.
that 3% is psychologically very low, not because we are stressed to going stopped but because
1. It's below average (a 4% would be much better standard)
2. If you read in a review that you get stopped out at 2.44%? Nightmare, would you sleep?
the daily stop so low is not a problem about to make profit... and get a large total DD... is there every day to stress you!!!!
In few words, if you vote to eliminate it, I will keep out from my files, ha ha, every day I'm thinking about how difficult would be to start with that conditions.
