The EU's interest rate difference has been increasing and I understand ECB will raise another quarter of a percent in September.
But we'll know soon enough I think, and the main thing of course is that wherever it goes profit is there to be made.

Great to exchange opinions with you in a healthy discussion Jurrasic..

With regards to interest rates...I understand the opposite..USD hike sooner to come then expected...EUR might have to cut sooner then expected....

Totally agree with the last sentence...doesn't matter if we go long or short...as long as we can make profits...

well you might be right..

15523 = range 2 weekly 100%
15576 = range 1 daily 50%
15573 = range 2 daily 50%
15551 = range 3 daily 50%

avg = 15555

Thanks for the post.. also it has broken the low of yesterday and often this is the case. Have a look at how many reversals are outside days... heaps.

I like this number and it lines up with my ranges nicely but its just to easy.

Oh forgot to add

768 to 522 = 246pips / 2 = 123points

700-123 = 15577 50% of the last 4hr range short.

so the market is sitting just below 50% of the last run down on a 4hr.
good reason to go long.

still like 15453.

As a scalper I am not making a trade yet. To me it seems that hte market has not yet made a decision. It seems that it all depends on how the big boys respond to the 'news'.

Looking at the Daily chart, it appears to be bearish to me. So if I was to make a trade at the moment I'd be bearish. But for my liking the market is in limbo waiting for that news to be released.

My analysis describe it this way - to be more specific and simple it can't be reversal. but more or less wave 1 and 5 are nearly equal and wave 3 is the longest. i expect a top above 1.57 before the decline.

* You may find my chart on my previous post.

Peace.

Well that's where we disagree I guess Shadow. As I see it "wishes" don't move the markets. The EU's interest rate difference has been increasing and I understand ECB will raise another quarter of a percent in sptember. And like I was saying, oil and gold are down and have lots of room to go back up without even breaking to new highs and UJ for example reached way above it's low when EU rushed above 1.5. AU and GU also have quite anough room to rise. And are close to the levels we had before the 1.5 crossing. That's just what I see. But we'll know soon anough I think, and the main thing of course is that wherever it goes profit is there to be made.

Well, in a fight, Bruce Lee might win, but if you're old enough to remember, "only The Shadow knows." Good morning to all, and good luck today.

Ok for the ones who might have the question...

"How am I gonna sail safe trough this upcoming storm"...

Scenario 1: Safe option

Don't leave the harbour...don't trade, stay in and watch market choose final direction, either up or down, there will be plenty of pips to be made once initial blast is settled.

Scenario 2: My scenario

I'm hedging this monster with 2 small positions and wide SL's on first news release, since retrace is possible before second news round at 3pm (GMT) comes out.
Risk..if we head below 1.55 with a clear break...we might not see a retrace soon, will accept a loss, covered anyway since I'm hedged and open larger positions if trend is settled

Scenario 3: Gamble

Choose your direction before news release and "gamble" on forecasts...
Not my advice..but if your on the right side...you can make a huge profit instantly

I would advice scenario 1 if you are new or don't have a large margin to cover...

As always...Just my 2 Cents...

Hello all... always looked but never written, why not hedge the non-farms with stop losses both ways with TP's set higher that way you get taken out in the wrong direction very quickly. For example I hedged on the news yesterday and got stopped lossed for about 8 points and I net 74 pts shorting the dollar vs the Euro. Just an idea to play news if you like to do that sort of thing. Not going to say good luck, this is not about luck it is skill and analysis.
