Guys - I had a good day. I called the short here on friday http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...stcount=155502 and positioned accordingly. I then called the bounce after taking 160 pips short and went long 4 pips from the bottom of the move, which I called at the time in this thread http://www.forexfactory.com/showpost...stcount=155845. I know it sounds like I am bragging but the truth is this has come on the completion of four years of trading which includes huge losses and unbelievable pain in the first three of those four years. For the most part my posts are ignored at best in this thread but its only you guys that would have any understanding of where I am at and where I have come from to get here. Thanks to all in this great thread which is really a great community on its own

I have been doing this for some months now, the volatility makes it very "easy". I thought about increasing the amount but then it's probably going against me.
I normally trade options with stocks... But I like the FX volatility...

It's good to draw a profit line without any SL (except premium and expiry dates off course). You know what I mean...
However, I think this way of trading could at least last for 6 more months before a decrease in volatility... Then it's going to be shit hard...
I could probably take 500 pips also but it's better to be "safe"..

Difficult thing to do.

First, find the proverbial needle in the haystack.

Then break out the microscope to inspect said needle.

Seems easier to me to just find out who's dealing poppers in town.

the 23.6 at 14895 would be first hurdle though, that's a given I think, next 20 minutes or so.

23.6 level hit on euro usd

CHF (for confirmation) is the mirror image at the 23.6 ret as well.

if this this is a retrace i can see it going back to 4952/58 area. then continue retrace. but those red lines on chart have been there since i extended march chart before hitting 4646. and we are just between levels without a lower low held. usx has retreated and sitting on a fib and trendline. it will determine if eu goes higher or not. we can use it as a early indicator,. all short term for now. but apears to want eu to go higher atm.

lower chart did not hit bottom trendline so usd overall may flex intraday for a little while. another thing is 7 is a number that trends many time follow.. march till today falls in the magic 7 month wise. then again where it sits now 4891 is a key fib from last years h/l

Funny how everyone gets quiet after a massive drop and watched their profit go bye bye. Then they pray and say PLEASE JUST GO BACK UP TO BREAK EVEN THEN I'M OUT. Well then it falls into wave 2 from all the selling. This game is ruthless.

It's odd but many of the trades you call i'm already in or i take them shortly before you call them or i'm watching for a possible trade. I took the euro short on 10/22 for a 300+ TP. It's just wierd but we see similiar setups at the same time. I guess that's what great traders do

I see a fake out developing. I'm selling the pivot for a scalp
then looking a touch higher for bigger sale.

couple reasons.

First. where it stopped falling: 14844.
That was last months high to the pip.
Right on the dot, as if market is saying that number is safe.
I don't think it is. It is now the "bullseye", no pun intended.

So, an 14844 1st target. next target TBD but below 148

Weekly pivot is at 14966, 1st midpoint between DP and Daily R1
is at 14969. 50% of last swing is at 14953.

So, the sale could be around/above any of those.

Not sure yet, so until the pivot prints, I need to work out the number, with a stop.

I can't place the trade if I don't know where the stop should go.
If it turns out to be more than 40 pips, I might pass only due to excess risk.
and maybe just do the scalp if it continues to set up.

Daily pivot (& the 38%) now in sight...... good chance to get there.
