no, CAD/USD is correlated to oil. however dollar weakness does amount to oil strength so we'll see if the sneezer hikes the rates. good for me I wanna see the EUR go to 1.70 lol i been long 1 lot since december 20th of last year. I dont want it to fail now

LOL. You've probably accrued some nice interest on that too. Borat says - "verrryyyy Niiiiiiice". I'm not trading today, but I like it when traders can take money out of this market.

From the little experience I've had, US afternoon session on Friday doesn't have much going. People just consolildate, take profit, etc., to prepare for weekend.

1.5650 entry looks good for long, 50% fib, above weekly & daily pivots.
105.5 looks good for short $J, last time it was this high was in February.
I think I'm gonna sit out this weekend.

Well.... "I think I'm gonna sit out this weekend."
I didn't quite listen to myself, went long at 1.56 & short at 106, stacked orders. Worked out pretty well so far, 412 pip's E$ & 170 pips $J.
Will have to see what happens Sunday if I close or not.
Hope everyone had a good day.

I agree. Today the trend continued "straight" up all the way to market close. I would think that's a bullish sign that this up trend momentum will carry over into next week. Pending the stars remain aligned etc. It will be interesting to see what happens from here.

I personally dont trade against the main market sentiment (upwards in the case), so if that triangle breaks to the downside I won't be looking to trade EURUSD.

What's happened to Hector? ("WTB")

The above is his last post that he made here at FF. And more importantly, he hasn't posted on his blog since May 22 -- over 2 weeks ago. (He usually posts there just about every day). Does anyone know if he is ok??

Deepening Recession, Tumbling Equity Markets and Sky-High Oil Prices

Nouriel Roubini | Jun 8, 2008
The US May employment report dashed the delusional hopes that the economic contraction would be mild or avoided altogether: apart from the headline figure – a drop of 49k jobs in May and five consecutive months of falling employment – the details were even uglier: unemployment rate up from 5% to 5.5%; falling employment also based on the household survey; falling temporary employment (a coincident rather lagging indicator of the job market; flat hours worked; falling employment in a broad range of industries; and a birth/death BLS estimate that overstates net job creation by new firms as it is still adding 217k in May alone that are likely to be drastically revised downward once the long delayed benchmark occur. So, an outright ugly job report.

Did you get my P.M., I will send it again.

Anyway, If the E/U pulls back to the 50% fib level and I think it will because it will fail this inside top, I will enter long.

I agree with you. I'm looking for it to pull back to 1.5600 with a possible short entry at 1.5700 with 1.5600 as target and then wait for confirmation of reentry of a long position at 1.5600
