@ Malcolm, Central bank traders are the biggest market movers .. they trade regular sessions and do not necessarily trade for profit except China. The rest just square positions to protect against currency fluctuations and their local currencies from strengthening and weakening at random with regard to the countries fiscal policies. That is why BIS may be selling and ACB's buying at the same time to contain major unprecedented moves caused by economic calenders - which speculators thrive on.
