DislikedI can't believe the more educated you are the more you'd want to stay ,maybe the higher educated often are not the most practical The Strasbourg building doesn't makes sense it wouldn't happen in the real world ,all costly artifical support . We are a net contributor to the EU ,going up and up as the monster grows we send money then they choose what the the rebate is spent on in UK ,subsidies to farmers for instance ,which our government doesn't support ,again it wouldn't happen It all goes back to free trade for the vote stay , this open...Ignored
The UK also gets an estimated £1.5bn paid to the private sector (mostly in the form of research grants) from the EU.
There are, however, restrictions on how the EU transfer to the UK public sector is spent. These payments amounted to £4.5bn in 2015 and goes to, as you point out, farming subsidies and development aid for the poorer areas of the UK.
