DislikedHi I have not really traded SEAHORSE. So are you suggesting in this pattern (example) that we should be looking for shorts ? Where would you suggest TP and SL for this pattern ? Have you traded it much ? {image}Ignored
DislikedDoes not look like the PRZ box is forming in the right position for that pattern, the PRZ would normally give you a good place to put your SL (just outside the box) So another way to trade it would be to make your TP 50% of the last leg up and then your SL could be 50/100 % of your TP depending on your R:RIgnored
DislikedWell from the Siri document that I have read, to trade Sea Horse in that example that I sent out you would only buy after price passes point C of the pattern. TP is X. However SL is not really defined in the original document. Like with all pattern some cold hard statistics are needed in order to really understand what are the best places for TP and SL.Ignored
DislikedIn trying to find out which zizag will result in best trading opportunities I discovered that it might be a good idea to play them both together at the same time. This will allow you to find "hidden" consolidation zones which can be quite powerful. {image}Ignored

DislikedI would not look to trade these patterns on the M1 TF unless I was looking for an entry point based on a larger TF conformation. Your idea of using more than one pattern type for entry signal at around the same EP is a good one and also works well when using different TF's patterns that still find EP around the same level. These patterns normally are looking to find levels where the market will correct from, so if you have divergence when a pattern appears this will normally aid the odds of a correction. What we really want is the market to make...Ignored
DislikedHi ! I agree for 99% of traders I would not recommend M1 timeframe should be ignored. However once you start to understand harmonics better then you will see that you will probably get even better trading opportunities on M1 than on H1 or H4. I am not denying the fact that if you run it on M1 that you will see 80% failures however, I believe you can easily filter the majority of those out and that you can find the very best setups every day. The same quality of setup (by this I mean applying huge amount of filters) on H4 might be 1 every month....Ignored
DislikedHi Robot Trader, check out this http://www.donnaforex.com/forum/inde...1977#msg251977 This EA uses a set of different filters and the most important one is a divergence filter based on Moving Average of Oscillator.Ignored
DislikedHi Waltpips, Thanks for sharing I am aware of this EA, but not the Donna thread, so I will read the comments with interest. I also have a thread on Donna http://www.donnaforex.com/forum/index.php?topic=4726.0 but I have neglected to post for sometime. Regards RTIgnored
DislikedAh ok, now I recognise you (N***l), we had some chat's via e-mail. I'm Walt, the author of this EA. What do you think about those forward and back tests posted there? Looking good aren't they Upgrading the divergence filter was a really big improvement.Ignored
