Vee has it spot on. USE THE TECHNOLOGY THAT'S PROVIDED.
Look at how lucky we all are. 20 years ago a) almost none of us would be in business as FX just wasn't available to the average man in the street, and b) we could only dream then what we'd all have at our fingertips PLUS the cost of it (a quote machine was about £500 a month 20 years ago, and that's £500 in 1990 money). Now, we basically get all of this for free or a small amount. For example, want 6 screens pumping live data 24 hours a day, you're looking at a less than £2,000 with probably a £500 a year running cost. My first computer cost me £900 in 1990 and that came with 20MB of storage space!
So if you're working or got other commitments that mean you cannot be in front of the screen all the time, find a way to sort that problem out using all this cheap technology we've got. Like I said, we could only dream 20 years ago what's available right now...
