Can anyone who is actually trading the strategy comment on the effects of rollover .... the effect seems to be staggering ...... takes a bite size chunk out of your profits as most swaps are negative either way because of the small differential on interest rates these days ..... even with oanda who pay an interest on the money in the account itself ..... even with that the rollover deducted due to swap is staggering !!
Ignored
Find a swap-free broker ....

that would be a very good solution, I thought only Islamic individuals were illegible for them ...... at least the larger brokers.

Can you suggest a broker?

The most significant one would be AUD/USD. But given this pair tend to move with stock market (stock up, AUD/USD up) and stock tends to move up slower than move down. In a long run, interest seems to work in your favour (provided AUD stays high interest).

Attached a diagram of comparison of interest rates between brokers. It is incomplete though. The last column is interest you have to pay for hedging (in pip). You may choose diff brokers for diff pairs. Hope this helps.

I use ATC Brokers. They're a white label of FXCM, but they allows hedging.

I trade with Oanda from Europe, and hedge...open a second sub-account and trade in the opposite direction..
Heard they donīt allow that in USA though..
As for partial closing, just buy or sell back a portion, provided you trade with Oanda from the main platform but not from the MT4. which only trades in lots.

Oanda does allow you to enter hedged positions in the US, as long as the positions are in sub accounts. The main issue with that, is that you have to make sure that you are managing your margin correctly. You will have to sometimes, move funds from one account to the other, as market conditions and margin levels change.

Hi all guys, I'm relative new to forex (1.5 yr of trading) and unfortunaterly not english....
I've read very carefully the first 20-25 pages of this thread, and even if it was so interesting I didn't came with any trading method or system (maybe because of my poor english).....
Is there any resume of the "rules" of this system?
I've understood to follow the monthly/weekly trend, I've understood to open multiple positions (even opposite) at the same time, but I can't put all together to build a method.

My apologize to all and thx in advance

Take a look at this post: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...24#post3872524

There is an example of how the system begin. The objetive is put some trades up to keep a few trades alive. It will to tell you the major trendline to follow. Then, you have to make the same every few days/weeks/months and take a look if the trend is the same or if you are looking a change in it.

Graeme in the above example I'd just like to ask:

1)You mentioned he moves to Be before adding each new position, can i ask at what point he moves to BE, for example will he move to BE on the close of the candle he made the entry? Od does he move to BE later?

2)In the above example as he moves to BE before making an additional entry so he makes the inital entry after the flying buddha marked by the first orange circle, on the close of that candle he moves to BE. He makes the second entry on the next candle marked by the second orange circle and...

sorry for the stupid question but I am new to the thread, and I need some clarification .
1) in the post above is the term used is BE ...... what is menasB E ?
2) in the thread talking about open positions pipeasy diversified ... diversify the term refers to open more locations ... or alternatively open and keep alive counter positions ( short and long)
3) from a few posts seem to take place only under buy / sell limit .. but others seem to take place buy / sell limit and also sell / buy stop ... which is it?

My starting capital was 6 figures. However my capital never went -10%.

I can assure you, large capital is not needed. I have a good example on first page of the thread.

What you will realize is that most short term traders aiming at 1-2% increase per week can also be easily done by entering at a low risk and letting the position grow on the trend.

hi there,
what leevereage would you use, cause surley if it's too high it can go against you when the account goes down.
