DislikedWell, honestly, Chicky, my knowledge along these lines is quite slim. I have only begun studying & thinking about currencies and macroeconomics & such within the last year. The position of the USD as the world's reserve currency dates back to the aftermath of WWII and Breton Woods, but this is history that can be easily googled. Or, if you can afford Amazon.com (or if it is in your local library) - I recommend "Globalizing Capital: A History of the International Monetary System" by Barry Eichengreen.Ignored
You may find it interesting that in early 2007 every pair I used to demo trade looked going in one direction that was north. I used to wonder about that, but finally this changed in 2008 and in a big way.
Thanks again, I will do my homework.
