Could have managed this a little more aggressively.

Thank you for your hint. I have a real problem to let a trade run, especially when price made already a +15 to +20 point move on the first leg, bearing in mind that my daily target is between +10 and +20. But ok, I have to fight it out.
Survived on YM only through scalping and ended hitting my daily target. However, not proud of how I managed it.

Hey Hbt29 and bartcrib,

We don't trade using any signals, EAs or anything like that. Mr Pip has taught us well and that we are looking at patterns but then also looking for other reasons to enter trades (order flow, bar by bar analysis, areas or support/resistance).

we try to keep our charts clean and draw areas of interest on manually, set expectations and wait for price to meet our expectations, then take the high probability trades.

Why not try it out? You will gain a better understanding and not be so reliant on EAs, which I feel is very empowering. I know from past experience it is easy to blindly follow these software signals and lose as a result. Not understanding fully what you are trading can also diminish your knowledge a little.

They are just alerts. Not an EA or any auto trading approach. Taking a trade is still a decision to make on our own.

I am ok with the movement (do not target big moves; Until now, always when I try big moves, it was a mess). Yesterday was +14 on YM and today +12 (I entered a bit too early short and exit too early, but ok; work done).

I trade with (very moderate) fixed profit target anyway, but there are less opportunities and there is less room for imprecision (imo). A bit more boring in any case.

Thank you for the tip, I am trading FDAX so it is not as bad as YM. There is enough action, but it is consideraly slower since yesterday nonetheless.
